SIN Lounge Crawl 11 June 2023

Added to Calendar: 11-06-23

Back in MH Golden lounge in KLIA satellite.

Thanks to @JessicaTam for organising and all others for the enjoyable time yesterday. For next year any organizers have big shoes to fill.

@Mattg , the autogates worked brilliantly, not that there were any queues at 6am but total time was about 3 seconds to pass the two gates.

Thanks for letting us know about the auto gates 👍

And thanks also to @JessicaTam for another amazing event and also for convincing the BA front desk to allow us a quick tour of the concord lounge.

It was indeed a great afternoon/evening. The HH residents got to their rooms about midnight and a couple of night caps might have been had. ;)

Thank you for those who came along to join in the fun. It isn't a lounge crawl without crawlers. 🤣

IMHO the order of lounges would be:

  1. QR
  2. QF F
  3. CCR
  4. BA
  5. MH J
  6. QF J
  7. MH F
  8. MH Regional

Others will have to chime in where EK fits in.

I look forward to seeing what adventures unfold next year.

I’d like to echo my thanks to @JessicaTam for organising a great weekend!

Here are a few more photos from yesterday.

And the QR lounge:

I thought the QF F lounge and QR lounge were both brilliant, with excellent dining options and attentive service. I personally can't really split them but the group consensus was that QR was slightly better.

Finally, how good is Changi Airport?! This photo is not even of a lounge - it’s just a public garden in the middle of terminal 2...

@JessicaTam you missed the SATS lounge in Changi T2 ;) Most of the MH610 crew popped in there before boarding.

If it was on the list though, it would be at number 9.

Certainly, the dining options are quite good in the Qantas First lounge.

However, I would suggest that the experiences in the QF F may not be so attentive if you are not P1/CL/First Class/Media (or at least in the company of such).

That is based on a direct comparison with taking the same flight two days earlier as a QF WP in MH J.

With that QR wins for this WP - and it is not even close.
