With the change in MH schedules I have re-optimised my accommodation and will be at the Doubletree (Intermark) Saturday night; Chow Kit (via Kampung Baru) still fine or anywhere else.
No probs, I'll check location and see how we go about nearby dining options. Did you want to me PM me with your arrival times at hotel? Not quite sure from your posts which is your final arrival time :)

Bloody MH. I've also just had another change to my departure flight on 19 June too but luckily it's not an issue. Just arriving into Changi earlier giving me more time to shop before the QF82 to Sydney that night.

I'm not able to attend the lounge crawl sadly but just wanted to chime in and say that MH has also rescheduled my flights in June from a layover of 3 hours to initially 11 hours and now rescheduled again to 16 hours.

At least it makes me feel at home, since it feels just like Qantas rescheduling my domestic flights 🥰

Yeah every airline is the same at the moment. Just which is worst …. I don’t think they have as much call centre issues though cause I got through to get my seat allocated and did not wait above half hour and all done in minutes.

All good, I'm actually arriving into KUL latish Friday evening and staying in Chow Kit before heading the 3 km to Doubletree early Saturday afternoon.

I guess I am now aiming for the airport at about lunch time!

Edit: so what lounges do you think you will get to? QF, BA and SATS Premier (courtesy of MH)?

I can get to QF, BA and Marhaba (courtesy of AY/Priority Pass) and possibly SATS with PP.

@harvyk are you limited to QF and BA? I think I can guest you into SATS with PP.

So I guess the real question is not how many people make a lounge crawl - but how many lounges!

I'm QF Gold, so I'm guessing just QF / BA.

Does anyone have any recent experience with early check in at SIN? It seems to have disappeared since COVID.
Arrived today and I saw Qantas bag drops seemingly operating at the early check in area of Jewel

Happy to catch up if you're in town then. Likewise goes for anyone else passing through KL for the event!

Sure - I've varied accommodation again and staying at Intermark Doubletree Friday (arriving late) then making my way across to Chow Kit Saturday afternoon, staying there 2 nights Sat. and Sun, making a day trip to SIN on Sunday.

See related posts re catching up with @LinaLee Saturday evening.

Monday I'm using MH to BKK mid afternoon to catch the QF flight to SYD.

Good to know - thanks. 👍

Trouble is in my case I am flying AY in the other direction. *sigh*

I will head to Jewel first in case their early check in will let me, well, check in!
Edit: the Changi website is showing “Early checkin closed until further notice” but the “Fast” checkin operating….

According to this fairly recent article, the SATS First/Biz early checkin lounge in T1 is open, as is the regular early checkin kiosks/desks in T1 and the Jewel.

AY is listing in the photo with early checkin 12 to 3 hrs prior (AY desk then operate from 3 hrs prior).

Just passed this pearl of wisdom onto to SYD+1 travelling on QR out of SIN in a few weeks. Plus I’ll do the same returning to Oz in July (if QF isn’t already open for business).

Apparently the article I posted is not fully updated! Hopefully the lounge crawl crew can verify some of the details!

Thanks @SYD 👍

The article was updated in March this year but the link to early check in options is out of date. So I am not sure what has actually been updated! 😉

I see this:

I will head in early regardless and see how I get on. 😀

Yeah, just found that minor hiccup also and edited my post! It’s not clear if the “Fast” checkin kiosks mentioned above allow “early” bag drop/checkin?

@serfty Noted :) Will try to think of somewhere to go that evening. It's not very interesting at this stage and looking for outdoors dining and trying to stay cool as well

@trippin_the_rift are you also in KL now? Would you like to throw in some suggestions?

only the good stuff 🤣😬

I’m in the Hartamas area. We could try this place Choo’s Kitchen. It has limited outdoor sitting n a fan. just Need to book in advance. I’m sure I can still drive areound KL n pickup @serfty it’s not that far for me. it will be an adventure 😯. How far are you? Link to restaurant:

Othewise it’s the pavilion or KLCC area? Horrible traffic 🥲. Public transport does not work for me unfortunately from my area.

If you're in Hartamas we could do Publika which has loads of semi-outdoor areas. Choo's is a solid choice I'm happy with that too.
I'm in Mont Kiara so it's serfty that will be doing the travelling it seems! ;-)
