Singapore KrisFlyer status match

Has anyone successfully matched with Qatar Platinum that was obtained through the Virgin Status match?

I recently got matched from Qantas Platinum to KrisFlyer Gold but it was a bit of an ordeal. I had a future flight booked from SGN-SIN in Economy and was able to show some international travel on my account statement, so after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing they did match me - I had to fill in the form that someone posted earlier and actually got passed around various different departments so needed to fill the form in more than once.

My wife, however, who is also QF Platinum, got thoroughly stuffed around by Singapore and was asked to fill in the same form 3 or 4 different times, with emails randomly coming from different departments. She did not get matched to KF Gold, presumably because she didn't have the same volume of recent travel on her activity statement (although that's just a guess because they have not provided any feedback or updates).

Just request a status match to Singapore Krisflyer Gold too, QF Platinum with multiple Biz class bookings on Singapore airlines coming up. Fingers crossed.

I did this earlier in the year. QF Platinum, requested status via the website, received the word doc being referenced above. Matched successfully. Had some revenue J + Y bookings with SQ at the time of the request.

Oh, and my last flight with SQ was an F/J redemption from 2019, so hadn't flow recently with them.

Just confirming the status match to Kris Flyer Gold is definitely a good chance if Qantas Platinum

Mine came through today after filling in the form and showing my Qantas recent history and my booking on a Europe return J fare next month together with my flight plans for 2024 (didn’t clarify they’re already booked via awards on Qantas 😉). The process took a week to achieve

So I’m now Kris Flyer / Star Alliance Gold status without ever having stepped foot on a Singapore Airlines plane (actually I stand corrected - the last time was 1985!)

The good news is all the miles from next months flights will go towards my re-qualification for Gold in August 2024

Now to see what they’re actually like to fly

One observation I’ve already made is their Kris Flyer team answer the phones promptly and actually get back to you on things they say they’ll work on - very impressive so far

So a full 12 months of Gold?
Yes - through to August 2024 - not sure if that because it’s granted this month or because it aligns to my Qantas status expiry month I sent them. I’m just happy I’ve got 12 months to enjoy it and gain the re-qualification miles

Actually I’m trying to figure out the upside of Gold stays when flying Business on SQ - not sure being Gold gives you much more - but the Star Alliance Gold will certainly be useful

Still working out my strategy vis a vis my current Virgin points which I’ve struggled to find international J redemptions for - might just move them to SQ and burn them there, if they can ever get my SQ and VA accounts linked - but that’s another story and thread…

Just bumping this

Has anyone successfully matched with Qatar Platinum that was obtained through the Virgin Status match?

After hitting QF LTG just before Covid struck, I knew it was time to look elsewhere. My flying has not (perhaps wont?) return to as much as early 2010's, so no point chasing LTP with QF. But am happy to dop fewer flights in premium cabins now.

I've put in my SQ status match request, lets see how it goes.
