Status match rejected for invalid reason. New ITA account with new QF / OW emerald match. Only thing which might have been questionable was a digital card submission vv a photo/scan of the real deal.

Will decide later if I can be bothered trying again

Ended up re-applying with the same account and QFF digital card on the 29th July, but used a scribble edit to circle the ‘Platinum’ on my Qantas card this time.

Approved for Volare Executive to 01/26 just this afternoon.

I think you'll be fortunate if ITA matches translate into Frequent Traveller status (Star Silver).
I suspect that half of China has ITA status at this stage.

If I were Miles & More.... I would give all ITA status holders who matched = Frequent Traveler.
Any ITA matches where the member has taken at least X flights using their status on ITA = Senator.

Well, yes. I have experienced that myself

Even some of the airlines that *are* supposedly ITA partners don’t seem to honour the benefits (looking at you, Aerolíneas Argentinas)

Very late to this party, fingers crossed I get status match

Pleased to report, I made Club Premium and was gifted 10,000 points.
No email notification. I just checked my account today.

The 10,000 points are not redeemable but instead a status credit like bonus to make it easier to retain.

A slight win thanks to the ITA status match. Booked a KLM flight using Qantas points and to my shock, KLM charges seat selection fee ($50!) even in business class.


Thankfully, I was able to clear my Qantas FF on the Garuda website and add my ITA number on the KLM website. And, now the seat selection is free

Yep, have commented on that previously. The status match has saved me a few hundred dollars worth of seat selections alone so not bad
