Slow (/Non)Posting of VA Points / SC's since the SABRE switchover

Here's a good one. We flew VA8002 (codeshared with AirNZ, it was actually NZ102) SYD-AKL right after the changeover on 18th January 2013. (As previously mentioned.)

By March, nothing had posted, so we filed a retro claim and got this:

Checking my statement today, and the original flight had posted... again (so we effectively got twice the credits...):

My points have now posted for April 15! Thank you to the staff who I believe are some of the best, but are not supported by systems that would make things happen in an automated way.

Now if only I could log into my Velocity account :( I'd be able to check whether our flights BNE/MEL/PER and BNE/SYD/PER have posted (although I know my points balance has changed).

As cross posted in the "Virgin website down" thread:

I was on the phone to the VA Plat Dek and the CSA shared that there is an email going out tomorrow to all Velocity members advising them that their accounts will be locked between 10pm Saturday 1st June and ~4am Sunday 2nd June, whilst they undergo a large Velocity software upgrade - she believes that this may fix some of the bugs/issues we are having. Also, she advised that Virgin is having a lot of trouble with Hotmail/Gmail/Yahoo accounts, so check your Spam folders for the email.

So when you're all having your Sunday morning latte, fire up your Velocity account and see if it works. I have my fingers crossed. I will cross post this to other (similar) threads to spread the word.

Flew BNE/MKY Return for work 2 weeks ago (Flexi Fares, booked through the Corporate Travel Agent), they appeared on my Velocity account within 48 hours (The return leg posted within 24 ) - But both legs only gave me status credits... The points finally posted about a week later, one flight one day, the return leg the next... Odd me thought...
Just flew back up to MKY for work on Monday, checked Wednesday my account, this time both SCs & Points have come together - And all is now well :)

Well, until I make my return next week....

My Mackay 2weeks ago has still only posted the flights but no status credits or points. Only 1 of my 4 NZ flights from three weeks ago has posted - but SYD flights from last weekend all correctly posted?

I have an odd one! First leg on 15 May not showing up but the 2nd leg from 17 May is. First leg of return on 25 May is there but the 2nd leg (same day) is not showing up! Common feature in both is Sydney airport - leaving from and returning to it.

Had the same issue with MKY. I went MEL BRI on 19th, BRI MKY on 20th MKY MEL 23rd - nothing posted. Called the Platinum Helpdesk yesterday, it seemed to take him a while to find the flights, apparently my FF number wasn't on them (but booked with the number on the website and it showed on the BP). He's had to send it off manually to get fixed.
Also my wife went up on the 19th with me as a J Reward seat. It was like she didn't exist either couldn't find her name or a booking for her. Have to submit a retro claim with the emailed itinerary. I fly quite regularly with little problems but in the last two weeks things seem to have got off track. BTW on the occasions I have called the Platinum Helpdesk the service has always been excellent.

Perhaps their big upgrade last weekend have solved the majority of the problems from happening in the future - most of my flights are posting within 3 days now

I also think that the staff are more knowledgeable in fixing these hiccups. I sent an email to Gold about a missing claim and they responded within 24hrs and had the points manually posted.

Credit where credit's due - these implementations are often messy and mistakes to be expected, but it's great to see that now when things are brought to attention they can get fixed quickly.

Agree - waited until after the changes - submitted missed credits on line and they appeared next morning

Usually my points post within the second day after travel. Flight from last Friday and Monday still have not posted, which seems unusual. Has anyone else noticed slow posting?

My flight from Sunday has not posted; I put in a retro claim yesterday morning but still no points or SCs

Same here for my Friday and Monday flights. I've put in a retro claim for the Friday flight and will do it for the Monday flight if nothing's come through by tomorrow.
