I'll get free servicing for 80K/ 5 years through BMW Advantage.
My folks have a 2010 X5 35D M-Spec and a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The X5 is the much much nicer drive, so I would imagine the updated version would be more of the same!

My brother is a car salesman. Apparently, you will only ever buy a Jeep once (great advertising campaign). A bit off topic, but have to say I hate the new Mitsubishi ad - "It's a Mitsi?". Or should it be "it's a Mitsi!" Either way, too similar to the Jeep ads.
Bump
Any X5 owners here ?
Took a 30d for a test drive on the weekend and absolutely loved driving it.
I placed an order a couple of weeks ago for a Focus RS, won't be available until mid next year, but I can wait, been a while since a Ford RS came with 4 wheel drive.
not really a car I know but, sometimes this bad boy... gets around 2000L/100km...

although this is my ute... which doesn't usually bear an oversize sign or flashy light. it also uses significantly less fuel than the above bus. It's back in SA at the moment though

Need third row seats - not often but do need to have them.
I'd cross shop the new XC90 and the LR Discovery Sport in that case.
I was going to ask about the price of the X5 but then looked it up. Around $190K???
I'll just back away now and go back to my new $45K Pathfinder which I thought was too much to pay for a car...
But the service interval is variable. Mine ends up around 25,000km or 12 months for that - so not really too bad.As long as you don't mind the service costs, which were ~$1,500 a pop for a regular service.
The X5s I'm looking at are nowhere near that cost. More likely $110K
LCT is a bit of a killer though
Drove a AMG A45 on the weekend what a car, but 12 month wait list.... Hmmm
