So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

When we came home both cars where giving out weird dashboard alerts. To cut a long story short both cars had rodent damage $18000 worth between the 2, 3 weeks for parts & total replacement of all wiring harnesses in mine.
Holy moly disappointed would be an understatement it's not like we live on a farm :(

You don't have to live in a farm to get that problem. This bloke had his Aston Martin gnawed at the airport.

Rats! Qantas in dispute over chewed wiring

Love the 135i great car now a tale of absolute misery Re BMW's I have an M4 my better half a 435i convertible. We went snowboarding in Japan over Xmas for about 10 days left the cars in our garage. Wow! Feel for you, that really sucks, I'm assuming insurance will cover it but in the mean time...

Since letting the good wife drive the M135i she has decided it's time to upgrade her little ford fiesta... to a 135i coupe.

"Letting"?

Re: The totally off-topic thread

Lightly snowing in Canberra with a dusting over Black Mountain and Mt Ainslie. Not settling on the ground at our place but children have snow in the suburbs. Chilly!

My new baby had snow on it when we went for coffee at 9am. It should be in the garage, but there is way too much other stuff in there at the moment. Went along Fairbairn Ave and there were quite a few cars going up and down Mt Ainslie.

Need more pics!!! :p

(I'm more interested in the car, not the snow - I cant believe you left it outside!).

OK, it's not in the garage, but it is now under cover! I also have a very patient and accepting wife who says that I can have as many cars as I want, but hers has to be under cover, so she gets the carport. The beemer is now down the driveway until it is sold,

Did I mention how tolerant my wife is? I'll post more later!

As per some previous posts, this could go in the what are you driving thread, but anyway it's here for now. Think I've finished stuffing about with it now :)

Just found this review if anyone is interested, if it's considered advertising, may a mod please delete this post? I don't like the 'noxious' blue colour though!

2016 Ford Focus RS review

Just updated the Kluger, looked at a few things but thought why not, get a last of the Aussies.

Now have a Territory Titanium diesel, I have to say it's better than expected and I enjoy being behind the wheel. There is little turbo lag at take off (was my biggest fear) and once over the 20 km/h mark it can pull hard.

Matt

I had a Volvo XC 60 Turbo Diesel in NZ last week and would not have know it was a diesel apart from diesel rattle at start up and that was it performed well up all the hills and stuff..

Love the look of your RS Cossie, however I'm a bit surprised at the 0-100 time in the above review taking 6 secs with 257kw on tap. Do you think that is correct?

Or is it a function of the 6 speed g/b not quite reaching 100kph in 2nd or 3rd (I'm guessing) and requiring another change to reach 100kph?

Re: The totally off-topic thread

My Daily driver is HSV Clubsport Gen F , and my play car is a GU Patrol. Contemplating getting rid of them both for a new y62 V8 patrol.

Although the advert in the Sydney Qantas terminal for the new Jaguar SUV is impressive.

A friend bought one that is yellow with a black roof, needless to say she calls it a bumble bee. I gave her a lime green Skoda t-shirt that I had, that makes for an interesting combination!

Like your number plate, by the way!

From what I've read, it is an issue with the manual box, another review from not news, harks back to the "super car" scare of the seventies.

Doesn't bother me if they disable it, doubt I'll ever put it in anything other than 'drive' mode.

Road Runner fan much? :)
I do feel funny when I use the horn and people see my plates. And you should see the weird looks people give when they walk past even when I'm in the car. It looks more like an accessory than a real number plate.

Yellow looks fabulous.

Is this a new 'baby' Pushka? Looks very cute.

We've just moved to a one-car household. Since I retired we just didn't need the second one and it was a waste sitting in the car space not being driven. A bit of a wrench though :)
