So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

Re Dents:
Today
P plater son

“Sorry dad I tried to close the door before reversing out of garage”

“Ok, well, next time why don’t you try to close the door before starting the car?”

Pulled it back a bit - at least it will close and lock. Just needs a new metal door, the trim, window is OK. Maybe seal needs replacing

I reckon it would probably buff out! Th Top Gear guys did some amazing panel work.:eek:

I have gone from champagne to silver to dark blue to white to now a golden brown Lexus. So I have had a Lexus since 1994 and very happy. Mrscove wants to update her Lexus 450h which she loves but is 4 years old.

I said that I would replace swmbo's XC60 at 5 years .. because modern techno cars are high risk as they age.
It has been absolutely faultless, and I am now tempted to run it on for a bit.
It will be replaced by an XC40 ….. or so I am told

I still have a 2005 Chrysler Voyager.
Apart from a rebuilt transmission, steering rack, and new engine mounts, and a gutless engine, it’s a good car. Only done 185000km

Likely has another 100000km

I even put in a new Head unit with Apple car play and Google maps satnav - sort of like a Qantas “refresh”

I noticed dealers are putting big bows on lots of new car delivery now, not just the high end ones like they use to.

I had a Isuzu DMax ordered for a sales rep and yep, big red bow on it o_O

Mine had a big cover over it too that they whip off. Certainly didn’t get that with my previous Mazda. Plus I got a gift box with wine, chocolates etc.

I got the pull off covers treatment plus cheap bottle of wine circa <$10.

Seriously I know what it looks like. It’s not a surprise.

So when I went into showroom, I pulled off the covers before the sales guy got there. I gave the bottle of wine to the receptionist

Got one of those, they are brilliant - won EU car of the year. Big waiting list.... so if you want one jump in fast.

I got the cover pulled off, a hamper full of goodies (including decent wine), a pen with my initials on it, an umbrella and a drink bottle! And every service I get a little box of chocolates.

Only a bottle of Mumm, no bow or any of the other stuff for me D: D: D:
