So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

Why even have a car?. just catch an Uber/similar
Or alternatively
I would get an EV - they are getting very cheap. That way it can sit in the garage - plugged in to power at all times - while not driven keep it charged to 30%. Almost no servicing required.
Convenience. We can go anywhere we want without having to rely on uber/taxis.

P.S. the Honda CR-V requires very little maintenance. I just had a service 30 months after I bought the car and see no need to rush for next service.

Across the road was parked an ex army vehicle, now it would be great fitted out as a camper wagon.

Here ya go:

So I don't get the kicking bit, does the trailer push the ram or is all that hype over a few batteries to power trailer internals ?

I can run it past the Landcruiser club up the street… big family group and a fleet of cruisers..
Is it a gxl or a Sahara and where is it ?

add: pm might be better also with a price target

I might have to pay him a visit….. I looked at trying to import one several years ago, but I ended up thinking it was too hard. Still want one though!

Not my wheels. My CBR friends who just travelled to Italy with us have friends in PER that they caught up with today and they gave them a ride to the airport in this baby. Get the plate. 😜

There’s a number of these around my part in Sydney. I’m not a big fan of EVs, or of the artificial engine sound that some EVs pump out, but the Taycan does actually sound pretty good. Clearly artificial, but still good.

Cheers,
Matt.

I normally drive a VW Arteon AWD fastback; APR tuned to 380HP & 500NM... but, someone in a CX5 rear-ended my baby a few weeks ago, and for now I'm currently pained to be driving a Tiguan 110TSI, while Arty's fixed up like new (thankfully replacing the rear bumper and tailgate, rather than repairing).

Seriously, this Tiguan is the worst car I have driven (besides the MG ZS I was 'upgraded' to once, by Avis 😩). Slow to respond. Slow to accelerate. Terrible handling. Rolls like it would fail the moose-test. Next to no luggage space. Engine sounds awful... But at least it looks dull. My 7YO said the other day that this thing is so bad, that we should drop him off around the corner at school :D (I think he's possibly overheard my complaining a few too many times).

Ugh... I just want my car back... 🥺😭 </rant>
