So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

A US credit card offered me a McLaren sports car. If I got into the drivers seat there would be a difficulty getting back out of it.
What's the catch with this one?

I guess you could convince me to take the McLaren instead of the QFF points... :p

My Credit Card offers me a McLaren. The catch is 16pc interest until I pay it back, and 5% transaction fee as well 😉
Tax deductible I am sure

Panel fit on old cars was pretty ordinary compared to the precision of new cars with really complicated pressings

Just discovered the car thread! Can‘t believe it’s taken me so long…🤦‍♂️

Anyway… Focus RS Mk3 owner here in Nitrous Blue. Had it since new (2017) and still love it. That’s not to say I haven’t seen anything else I’d love to buy/own, but in terms of bang for buck, the RS has been hard to go past.

Mine was the first in Canberra, Black, consequently head gasket issues, replaced under warranty, but it has a leak from the timing cover. Local agent says “nothing to see here”. Are you in RSOC?
I had hoped they would have appreciated in value, but the head gasket issues seemed to have stopped that happening, I’m guessing yours is one from after the engine changes.
Seriously considering selling mine, it has just over 20,000 kms and it doesn't.t get used.

Cheers! Assuming you’re referring to @Cossie ? I suspect we don’t necessarily see eye to eye on the choice of colours, but otherwise all good ;)

Actually, if I was to buy one now I would get the blue, tends to grow on you…. :)

October 2016 build for mine so it was part of the recall but I can’t honestly say I encountered any issues. I am a lapsed RSOC member (lapsed during COVID and haven’t gotten back into it). Have about 80K on mine (as it’s my daily). Still have hopes for them appreciating, but doesn’t look like it’s happening anytime soon.

Not my wheels. My CBR friends who just travelled to Italy with us have friends in PER that they caught up with today and they gave them a ride to the airport in this baby. Get the plate. 😜

Our CEO just bought a new Taycan EV. Looks stunning. I think I'd feel weird riding around in something like that though, I wouldn't enjoy the attention
