So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

Meanwhile, my nephew who bought one of those ugly electric thingies a few years ago has come to his senses and has just purchased this along with an off-road caravan for their weekend mountain biking trips.
Yes he has kept the other thing for day to day use…….

A bit off track here ..... mods, please delete if you see fit to.

Just got my car insurance renewal documents. Holy cow! AAMI went up by 50% and checked NRMA and it was off the charts. Checked a few others and they were around AAMI rates.
Best is APIA. Anyone have tried and/or uses them? Any feedback on them will be appreciated.

Thanks

Loyalty has no rewards. Just go with the one that offers the best rates. Remember, many of them are actually the same company under different names.

I've always found Shannons to be competitive.

I've always found Shannons to be competitive.
I changed several years the main drive to Shannon's after AAMI fees became prohibitive.

Sunday drive was already with Shannon's.

Interesting fact - Aami and Shannons are both owned by Suncorp.

They also own Apia.

If required, I like to choose my own repairer.

Wow what a machine! Might pop in and have a look! Thanks for sharing :)

Old times…

Not quite the car but my brother has still got my fathers old metal body Lightburn Electric Drill. Along the lines of this one below but unpainted.

Yes the pictures from the drones and choppers are just fabulous.

I love the classic group. Yesterday they had two women in a 2CV doing the Dakar! One has to be impressed and admire their efforts.

Plenty of those still operating as taxis in Tana! Love 'em. Not great to ride in though....... the fumes!

Our Giulietta has been fine
Yes, and so has my 159.

I think Alfa's reliability has certainly got better over the years. Curious to know if others have had post-2010 models with regular (expensive!) servicing and oil changes, or the older type Alfas as DIY jobs.

Was thinking of the electric MGs. We have a B class which I like. Easy to get into and quite nice to drive, alt these days one tends to use radar cruise most of the time, esp in traffic and with changing t speed zones.

The new Alfa Tonale looks quite nice. Might take it for a test in near future.

Looks nice, but some mixed reviews from the Alfistis over in other online forums which is interesting to note.

I like the look of the Alfa Romeo Giulia SWB Zagato but unfortunately it's beyond my price range with only on the planet!
