Out of interest, Ansett used to operate a bus service back in the day in the 70s and 80s.

Ansett Pioneer before Pioneer brought out the Ansett stake and Pioneer themselves ultimately got taken over by Greyhound.

Maybe what's left of VA's mainline could be merged into Greyhound or Firefly.

If they have to get rid of the Virgin name, naming the VA2 "Velocity Air Australia" could be the right one.

Edit: nak, there is already a company called Velo Aviation Parts, they sell aircraft parts, which I didn't know the name already exist.
They probably won't cut routes, but just reduced direct flights to one per day, eg, ADL - CBR direct only once a day, or twice return when fed parliament sits.

Massive massive cuts to their Tassie flying, but we did expect this given Tassie has been a see of red for them as VA1. Has been discussed in the other thread too.

I noticed flights between MEL and DPS are available for booking but looks like all DPS flights have been renumbered...
