Leveraged the hell out of this today. Registered this morning. Shopped at Coles and received the usual shopper docket 2 for 1 wine offer for a Stormy Bay wine. Dropped in to the adjoining Liquorland and bought said wine for $13 and some brandy for the Christmas cake. Spend came to $40, but the shop had a $10 offer when spending $30, so added six-pack of Cider (on offer) for $10, saving $7 and which brought it up to $50 on the nose. Eligible for the Amex $20 credit.

I've taken to regularly logging onto Amex site and saving offers to my card(s), this was one, also spend $20 get $10 back at Event Cinemas.

Must admit I dont shop much at LL but this may draw me in.

Whilst I didn't look at champagne as I don't drink it, I did look at wine and agree that their prices are insane, but ...

They currently have 20% off if you buy 4 bottles, which brings many back to a reasonable price and for some, a bargain price, even before the $20 off. E.g. Pepperjack Shiraz shows $19 a bottle at Liquorland before any discount ($18.90 a bottle in 6 at Dan's, or $19.90 a single bottle) ... Buy 4 and it's $15.20 each (a pretty decent price) and $10.20 after Amex credit ... Half price! Bargain! Can do that for as many cards as you have that you register.

Also saw a $5 discount for spending over $30 on ozbargain - not quite sure, but think you have to like liquorland on Facebook.

I'm on their email list, but only receive some offers, not all - very annoying! Received an email earlier today about Event cinemas, but not LL! Looks like I'll have to regularly check their website, but they seem to have offers in numerous places, which makes it harder!

When you say 'save offers to your card', do you mean register your card?

As with you, I almost never shop at LL given their prices, but as posted above, this provides some bargains!

You need caution shopping a LL and I am happy I did alright today. Most of my spend these days is Dans via gift cards.

Agree you need to be careful of LL due to their high prices, but as I posted above, you can get some bargains!

I must get the discounted gift cards sorted out and take advantage.

I bought Xmas cake brandy for $27.....about same as anywhere else.
Story Bay SemillionSauvBlanc 2 for $13. Reasonable.
6pack Somerville Cider for $17 less $7 so $10. At Dans = $14.99
Total = $50
Amex gave me $20 credit. $30 for all that is good value in my book.
