Hey Hammando, did you get the credit for doing this? I did these exact steps, and surprising did not get any 200 points credit.

By following the steps on that link I got the 200 point promo to show up on two accounts. I activated on both but the points haven't hit my accounts yet.

How does this work?

If I spend 100$ for a 5 day stay, will I get 200 points as a SPG member + 200 points for 2 day stay + 500 Points for 3 day stay?

How does this work?

If I spend 100$ for a 5 day stay, will I get 200 points as a SPG member + 200 points for 2 day stay + 500 Points for 3 day stay?

Lets say a 5 day stay = 4 nights, and assuming you are a base member which earn a basic 2 points per $1.

If one stays 2 or more nights, all their points are doubled. If your stay is three or more nights, you get a bonus 500 points on top of the doubled points.

So my calculation is this, for a 4 night stay:-

Day 1 $100 x 2 base x 2 bonus = 400
Day 2 $100 x 2 base x 2 bonus = 400
Day 3 $100 x 2 base x 2 bonus + 500 (kicks in on 3rd night) = 900
Day 4 $100 x 2 base x 2 bonus = 400

So a total of 2,100 points for that 4 night stay.

Earned 3 (Sheraton Tokyo, New Orleans and New York Tribeca) and using them at the Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast ... still might end up switching the to Sheraton Waikiki or Sheraton Full Moon Maldives. I'm time poor for the rest of the year so really trying to make something work other than the Gold Coast.

Redeemed my free weekend night at Sheraton Noosa. Good value at this nice resort where prices are around $400 p/n.

I hope platinum treatment will be better this time. Last visit we got the minimum upgrade and refused 4pm checkout (got only 1pm).
