We are finishing our Qantas double SC flights (we paid for) to keep Mrscove a WP. Our next Suites run is 3 months away unless we go to London before it gets cold. I think the 5 days of summer are just about over for London and Mrscove loves the place.
I do keep wondering what will happen if the ATO thread turns to mush.

for couple seats in suites, ive read that 3C/D is better than 2C/D... any particular reason why its better?
Only advantage is 3 C/D can actually be booked online - 2 C/D are blanked out as they are designated 'Bassinet Seats' - you can readily book these if 3 C/D are already taken but you need to call KF to do so. You also need bear in mind that if indeed a 'Bassinet Seat' is subsequently reqd by a fellow pax - and this is a very very rare occurrence - then you will have to give it / them up to said pax.

Bust as far as Suite layout / features is concerned both pairs 2 C/D and 3 C/D are indeed identical.

there's an argument that as 3c/d is closer to galley/ crew sitting areas it is louder, but once you've got those SQ branded QC15s on I haven't ever noticed.

No argument possible - 3 C/D are indeed closer to the galley - but 4 A/F are closer even still - I always park my cough in 3C and never is there a problem with galley noise - anybody who suggests there is clearly has either never sat in any of the rear Suites or are just looking for something to complain about.

I've just followed you and got myself 3C. If 3D is empty, do you get 3D made up as a one big bed?

Absolutely you do - and I have had 3C maybe 50 times and never had another solo pax in 3D - several times I have been asked to move so a couple can share 3 C/D which is only fair and I would always comply.

I just booked BNE-SIN-BKK return for September.

No suites on the A330 so settled for economy aisle seat on the wing but if I show them a photo of Cruiser they will deliver real champagne and not that sparkling stuff?

Should do - indeed they may well offer to upgrade you also ................. to an outside seat!

Oh pulease. You both are as bad as amaroo and drron.

But its a whole year away :p

It will disappear quickly. And lots of anticipation in the meantime. I love anticipation. :p

Me too. Something awesome to look forward to.

Oh enough of this idle banter already. There are important matters to discuss.

Like when? And where?

Got my 2nd round of Suites flights on Sunday night, MEL-LHR, & ZRH-SYD in Sept. Booked it at the start of the year. Gosh how time flies when you're looking forward to something. Wish I could be flying R as much as some of you on here.

I hope it does! I had a dream last night that we were getting ready at the house and almost out the door to go to the airport for our first trip in Suites, and my alarm went off. I had that feeling of excitement before I realised it was in fact a dream, it was 4 am, and I needed to leave for work in 35 minutes.

Next August. SYD-SIN & SIN-JFK

It makes me feel so much better to read when others book so far out as well. My work requires me to allocate annual leave (beyond the occasion extra day here and there) 15-18 months in advance, so we find we have to impatiently wait for dates to be released for booking as we know when we are going away long before inventory is available. Others though often ask "how do you plan that far ahead?!?!"

We've also been waiting a while for the seats to be released, plus I'd already run it past my boss so there were no guilts...

Tried booking my first award flight last night through the call center flying from BKK>MEL in mixed class J/R...

Being exhausted and a little bit flustered / nervous didn't help me I don't think. I asked the operator for a BKK>MEL mixed award flight flying from BKK to SIN in J and SIN to MEL in F. Instead of booking the flight at the 75,000 mile rate, I was booked at the 95,000 mile rate being 75K for the SIN>MEL and 20K BKK>SIN leg, then the 15% discount after I questioned the operator. I didn't click that something was wrong until after it was booked. I was then on the phone to the operator for 40 minutes trying to sort it out, being close to 12pm I just said please cancel the booking and get somebody to call me back tomorrow to re-book it correctly.

Still haven't heard back and the points haven't been come back into my account yet. Should this be pretty straight forward to do once they call back?
