Priced at S$91 I am seriously thinking of buying at least 1 for myself as a souvenir - please anybody transitting SIN go check it out and see the quality of the package.

Meal question.....

I found this interesting chart on a blog reviewing SQ Suites. We are flying SQ317 LHR-SIN leaving at 1125 and according to the chart they have on the blog, this flight is a "LIGHT" meal service?!?! A 12 1/2 hour flight doing light meals?

My question, would this be applicable to F? More importantly, I imagine the usual Book the Cook options will be available, BUT will there be a caviar service?

But wait - don't buy now - there is more!

Where is my cobber blackcat20? Look at this bc - I headed out of TPR to F Lounge and my bestest buddy Mohamed provides me with this:

Yep basically as CH appeared in TPR PH Rare was consigned to F Lounge - check Mohamed - grinning like the proverbial:

CE work above and beyond the call of duty yet again. Glad to see the PH Rare radar is finely tuned and working well

I flew SQ305 in Suites last week leaving LHR at 09h25 and there was a caviar service so you'd have to assume 317 would be the same. I have the menu if you're interested.

I'm assuming the same based on you tube video trip reports etc. But that chart was bizarre.

Just to report back, I think I've had success on my Mixed booking MEL-HAN and DAD-MEL in F. I've had verbal confirmation that the reservation in my account that is not yet ticketed has been done at 75,000 miles per person, per way, and the 15% discount will be applied - now I've just got to call back once I've transferred from amex the 255,000 KF miles. Proof will be in the pudding in the next few days once the miles transfer over and I can pay for the ticket.

*here's hoping*. So frustrating that it is so hit and miss.

OK kids - clarification re 'Mixed Class Rdpts' on SQ:

Dear Mr Elite

“Greetings from Singapore Airlines”

With reference to our telephone conversation earlier today, we would like to take this opportunity to address your concern with regards to the mileage requirement for mixed class redemption booking.

We would like to clarify that Suites and First Class cabin are only available on selected Singapore Airlines flights and SilkAir does not have a Suites/First Class cabin. Business Class seats will be allocated to members who redeem their miles for Suites and/or First Class on flights which do not have a Suites/First Class cabin. The number of miles required for the entire trip may be determined at the redemption level of thehighest class of service flown.

Kindly be advised that members are not able to make mixed class redemption booking via Singapore Airlines Website. As such, you may wish to contact our reservations hotline for assistance. In this instance, 15 percent online discount can be offered in view of the online system limitation.

Mr Elite, thank you for your time on this matter and please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further assistance.

Yours sincerely

During phone conversation I was advised that indeed some changes to the SQ Rdpt process was recently made - these changes were basically IT changes which is now throwing up on screens the 2 x Bookings for Mixed Class.

Newer staff members are not doing anything wrong really they are just following what their screens show them. All staff will be updated shortly if not already done so and systems will be updated ASAP.

Again if you encounter this problem just be pleasant and persistent and you will get over the line.

wow, you are amazing- is there nothing you can't solve?
perhaps you could tackle world peace next?!

Dear Mr Elite

Really? They know you by your tag name? Or did you conceal that upon posting?

Again if you encounter this problem just be pleasant and persistent and you will get over the line.

I can confirm that my SYD-SIN-MLE return in F has been rectified and redeemed at the correct price and everything is ok. I lost a $30 refund fee during the process, but I'm not going to argue :)

I just booked DPS-SIN-SYD in J class - but this was easy as it was J the whole way through.

Nope - next 'Insurmountable problem' I am taking to solve is to get either penal or Tommy to buy me at least one beer each in their lifetimes! This I tell you is one giant task to tackle!

As soon as I get that beer you promised me ;)

Although I think you have repaid that favour in another capacity...

Does anyone know why SQ does not allow one way Business class reward booking via Velocity? The seat is available on a return flight but not on a one way booking.
