Charles Heidsieck in J - and it is a great drop.
Have to say I didn't fancy it. Perhaps my tastebuds need recalibration.

champagnes, like any wine, are subjective. and can even vary slightly after several years. Might just be that it's not to your liking
They had Dellamotte in SKL J? Thank god they took it out! When did they have it?was disappointed they took delamotte out of krisflyer lounge in SIN.

When flying R or F I invariably wander up or back into J cabin to have a glass of CH - i seriously like it - always in my cellar too.
dd girlie teddy you wanted wasn't it?
I think the reference was to the krisflyer gold lounge, not J lounge?
Has anyone booked a mixed class redemption before? I'm trying to go syd-sin-tpe in J which should cost 58000 miles. However I can't get availability from sin-tpe in J so i'd like to downgrade to Y.
If done online, syd-sin = 58k miles then sin-tpe in Y costs 25k miles.
Is that right? I thought it would be cheaper. I called up and they said they would have to do it sector by sector.
For book the cook where available I'd highly recommend the "wholesome" range. Really seems to be of higher quality above their other offerings. 4 dishes we had were the citrus steamed sea bass, tagine chicken, quinoa+kale salad and indian lamb chops.
thanks, debating on what to do with BTC on a flight to Munich in late July.
I have a daytime flight from Syd to Singpore, but then the flight leaves at ~midnight for Munich.
Should I eat on the flight, or just in the J lounge prior and sleep the whole way...hmm
What would seasoned travellers recommend?
I'm only going for work for a week, need to hit the ground running upon reaching Munich and then once back in Sydney the following weekend.

Hi everyone, i am thinking of booking the F saver award to LHR around mid June next year. Do you all think that the A380s will have the new F seats by then ?
(I also assume that the 773 planes out of MEL have new F seats already)
The last time I took an ~ midnight flight it left at 0220. The last thing I wanted was food although they valiantly tried to serve it. If it were me, I'd eat first, esp if in the TPR. If the flight leaves on time and you're still hungry and awake, eat twice.
I was in the SQ J lounge at SIN at similar hours to what you'll be. I didnt rate the food offerings in the buffet much at all - it was all pretty ordinary and not appealing.
I also asked politely once on board SIN-ZRH (which leaves after midnight) if I could defer my BTC (Satay Skewers) to later in the flight after I'd had a snooze, which they happily obliged. When I woke a few hours later, the crew came up without prompt and asked if I'd like it now - which I was very happy to receive.
So, in short - I'd BTC, and defer it on the chance you dont want it on boarding.
You can book the whole thing as one ticket over the phone. It will cost the same as a J booking all the way through. Try googling "krisflyer mixed class redemption".

Unless you are flying Suites or F with SQ there is no access to TPR.thanks guys, will take the suggestions on board, literally
No TPR for me, unless someone nice here will be there at the same time and can guest me , will post in the SQ lounge thread soon (will be in Changi on 22/07 around 7pm onwards)
