Make sure you are in the IHG loyalty program.
Hi Cove, i am an IHG member too, but i might be using AMEX Travel to book a room, since i get $400 travel credit via my AMEX Explorer card.

Hi Lovetravellingoz,
I am going to book Crowne Plaza via AMEX Travel too, since my AMEX Explorer card gives me the $400 travel credit.
If you book via AMEX Travel, will you get free wifi from the hotel too ?
I am an IHG Rewards member too by the way.
If you are a IHG Member it is free., and does not matter who you book through, or how you have paid.
The first time I stayed there it was booked through Amex and on checkin the helpful staff member suggested I join IHG for free to get the free wifi.
As you are staying 2 nights the $400 will work well.
I normally use our $200 credits from our two Edges as we stay just the one night.

Hi
Does anyone understand the routing rules for SQ redemption flights? I am contemplating flying SIN-SYD but using ANA and routing via Tokyo (NH844/NH879). Would this be permitted for the same points cost as SIN-SYD directly (58,000 miles one-way for saver award)?
Thanks
Geoff.
Hi again everyone
Just bumping this in the hope someone might have some insight. To clarify, I'm planning to use my KrisFlyer points to redeem flights on ANA, as described below. Thanks in advance for your help.

It's too much of a back-track for Krisflyer. You can do it using LifeMiles though.
Can be done through Krisflyer, but only at the cost of a SIN-NRT and NRT-SYD award summed together!

The easiest way to find out would be to call Singapore Airlines, but as far as I know there are two main requirements for SQ partner awards... there must be a published fare (routing) and no backtracking. Visiting the ANA Singapore site it returned a message that there were no available flights for SIN-SYD. So that's potentially a hurdle.

Thanks BacchusMarsh, MEL_Traveller and dajop. Appreciate your advice. Will hope a routing on NZ via AKL will be more acceptable; definitely less likely to be controversial than going via Tokyo. Interesting that Award Nexus returned the SIN-xTYO-SYD route...I wonder why.
Thanks to SQ Singapore for the assistance in checking our luggage through to our Flybe connecting flight (on separate economy tickets).
Hi Everyone!
Just a question
I can see availability for suites for 2 seats for Sydney-Singapore.
What are the chances of booking these 2, then trying to book 2 more? I note when I change PAX to 3 or 4, it is all wait listed. Is this because they don't want people booking 4 seats in one go or does that mean literally only 2 seats are left?
cheers!
From my own experience, SQ doesn't open up more seats closer to the flight, so that would be a no.
Only Cathay/asiamiles has been good to me in regards to opening up more availability.
Thanks for the reply, so if I book 2 seats, pretty slim chances of being able to pick 2 more after...damn
