What does this mean? Genuinely curious!

Compared to other F lounges like CX, LX or LH the Private room lacks ambience. Bit like a 5-star hotel lobby but without the people. Granted, it is a step up from the OZ F lounge at ICN

But YMMV

Changi J lounge was like a dammed zoo yesterday. Families, kids screaming and kids launching into chairs that bump into you, adults face timing loudly, the showers are hot and steamy with a queue and lacking toothbrushes.

On the way back, I'm booking a transit room instead. At least I can shower properly

CX Lounge lacks ‘soul’ - OMG - was no rock bands playing? Last time I was in CX F Lounge Champs on offer was ‘Peninsular’ - give me a break MEL - walk into TPR and every staff member will address you by your name - DIRECTLY - any other F Lounge on the world do this? Peel them off MEL- peel them off!

I tend to agree with you most of the time in your little lovers' tiffs with MEL, but you seem to be particularly touchy about any criticism of sq of late. Is everything ok CE?

All good mate - warranted criticism is fine - grandstanding not acceptable.

TPR - menu way outdated - totally needs a revamp - sad about PH Rare disappearing from SKL F but preying it will return - back to menu - western red meat option a ‘Hamburger’ - a bloody hamburger? Seriously? Dozens of times I have sent feedback to SQ re this matter - only people in the world who worship hamburgers are the sepos and seriously do they rate?

No beds - get a room - this is a Lounge - and a serious Lounge for grown ups - want a drink - here have a 2009 Dom - wanna sleep? Get a room!

And MEL doesn’t even fly SQ R or F - he is still sooking cause CA are pulling out if Oz-Sino routes - I also think MEL pissed cause SQ serve ‘hoity toity’ Champs in there Lounge when he thinks they should serve the dodgy cheap bubbles CA serve in their lounges.

QF MEL/SYD F lounges don't have beds either. However I do like the CX/TG/MH home port lounges with their snooze rooms to catch 40 winks.

Last year I had a long layover so the staff in TPR offered me one of the 'phone rooms' to have a quiet 20 winks. Not quite the same, but ok.

Young’un go past the ‘phone rooms’ to the ‘nursery’ - set up camp there - you will need to slide another chair inside from outside but no-one ever cares or disturbs you - but then again - if you can afford to fly R / F then get a room!

Or you could just curl up in a couple chais when yooze all ‘Dommed’ out like this degenerate:

I for one loved my tpr experience, thanks to CE for all the pics and tips in this forum. Yeah it was private and very personal...maybe a bit too much so but that is only because we are 3 star people in a 5 star experience. Having breakfast cooked to order while our daughter slummed it in the first lounge was pretty special to us.

How is the new waitlist procedure of finalising it 'at least 14 days ahead" working out?

Just realised the 14 day waitlist redemptions procedure probably hasnt started yet, due anytime between now and end of June.

Upcoming changes to the KrisFlyer programme
This change is aimed at removing the uncertainty of being on a redemption waitlist, and to give more time to make alternative travel plans should your waitlist not be successful. It will come into effect in the second quarter of 2019.

Too easy.

Flew SQ218 in Suites for my wife's and my initial honeymoon flight (final destination MLE so no F/R there), and of course used arrivals access at TPR to get some brekky and have a shower and just relax and chill before our onwards flight to MLE.

I don't think I need to explain myself here - pictures say a thousand words, I'll just let the following pics say what needs to be said: TPR is amazing, SQ Suites is heaven and there's not enough flying I can do to fully appreciate its awesomeness:

I received two bears last year on the way back from Japan via Singapore for an overnight. After immigration I sat down and just couldn’t figure out how to fit them in my luggage - I was sitting next to a young couple with two small children. I think they appreciated the bears far more than I ever would....
