SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Also have only just been able to connect to wifi now just 2 hours out from SIN.
There was a black spot over Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India

However I ressurected the Wifi by getting the iPhone to forget the Krisworld wifi. After that I was able to surf. Not sure if it was coincidence. Currently just west of the z Indian east coast

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread but is anyone else experiencing overly long delays for SQ flights being credited to Velocity accounts?

After a week with no points or status credits credited to my accountI submitted a claim to VA. Five weeks later still nothing.

Past experience is that paints and SCs have been credited in a few days.

This dated 24 April.

Flew on a SQ flight 1/5/23. Nil VA account points and SCs credited after 3 weeks. Submitted missing points claim . Points and SCs credited on 26/5/23. Not sure if this was due to missing points claim as no email from VA received to confirm.

Thanks.

Will email Velcoticy platinum to remind them of the flights and SCs that were credited to them on my SQ booking but never eventuated.

Interesting. Will try the Vilmart next week and report back.

While it’s nice to have options obviously the new addition is not as fancy as the other two. I hope it doesn’t mean that SQ will now load even less Krug and Comtes. I’ve noticed on my last few flights, particularly to SIN that Krug tends to run out. Thankfully I love Comtes as well so no biggie.

Definitely a big step down :(

I will get on board early if I think the Krug will be running out.
Can i get PH Rare in the Private Room?

How do we feel about the smaller business cabin behind the main J cabin? I‘ll be traveling alone and have never given it a go. Day flight SIN to DXB, FWIW.

Yes, 350-900

I like the small J cabin on 350 regional config as the galley is in front of main cabin so it’s more quiet.

On the 350 long haul confit the galley is between the two J cabins so I’d prefer to sit as far in front as possible.

To be more specific,
For daytime on 350 regional:
Row 11 > 19 > any seat in the small J cabin.
For overnight on 350 regional:
Row 19 > any seat in the small J cabin > 11.
For daytime on 350 long haul:
Row 11 > 19 > any seat in the main J cabin.

Row 11 > any seat in the main J cabin > 19.

The seat map has a forward galley, so the small J cabin it is then. Thanks for the advice.

Now, if I could only select 5 of the book the cook options….
