SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I like the look of it. Haven't heard anything. I think SQ are generally nothing to write home about.

The old pouch would appeal to the majority I'd say. The new one looks less "lux".
mmm… the new kits are distressed denim or whatever, so they will become individual pieces over time while being used.

The contents are pretty much same same as the previous kits, but different brand.

It’s something different. The old kits had been around forever.

The old Penhaligon's kit was around for a few years:

Both old and new have hand lotion, face mist and lip balm.

The new Le Labo pouch doesn't look as "premium" though, compared to any J kit that I can remember seeing.
Might be the "feel" of the surface.

Thanks to you all!

I had no idea to ask SQ to check it through for me - never have been in this situation because of the risk of a misconnect.
The transfer desk option as a backup also sounds good, I always thought that was for getting onward BPs printed/passports sighted when on the same PNR.

This is great news!
Forgot to update this.
Checking through bags was of no issue on separate tickets/carriers.
They did ask to see my QF BP at TPR and a couple of the staff seemed to be informed that I had a QF flight later that night.

Speaking of which any reviews on the new Le Labo amenity kits?
The J kit was waiting on the seat ex BNE on Monday but only flight of 4 legs that it was handed out to all pax.
The bag is like a waxy type material and seems ok but has a fold in flap rather than a zip. Face mist, lip balm and hand lotion/moisturiser inside.
It’s nothing to get excited about and to be honest I think I prefer just having things available on demand in J.

It’s like your favourite Birkin or pair of denim jeans… it will age with time and take on a patina which is unique to you. Quite a fun quirky idea.

The amenity kit contents look the same to me - Lalique.
Contains: room spray, lip balm, body lotion and soap.
This is F into SIN.

Pyjamas are the same design, different colour.
Last month it was black with light blue piping.
Before that (1.5 years ago) were a olive green/slightly grey hybrid colour.
Before Covid it was black with a darkish grey piping.
No pockets in the pants. The old PJs in the Ferragamo days had pockets.

I read in the article that was attached that the kits in F will change too

The zip "case" is slightly different, but identical.

This is what the mainlymiles site, linked in my earlier post, says:

First Class continues to get Lalique amenity kits

There’s no change for SIA’s Amenity Kit offering in its First Class and Suites cabins, with Lalique amenity kits provided on flights of five hours or more.
