I get they are swamped but points return on cancelled flights is data entry, it's not that hard and disappointing it's taking so long for them to action.

I don’t understand why these sorts of things aren’t automated processes that can happen immediately. Why can’t the miles be back in your account immediately with any cash payment sent straight to some schedule to process? I must be missing something.

I think they are holding onto cash for as long as possible. I didn't cancel, I want to rebook soon, so I asked for ticket reissue to the original route. And will be doing that in the next few days for ~ 355 days hence.

gmoh, I believe my flight later next month is the same route as yours, and has been cancelled of course.
Given the almost impossibility of securing Saver R's on it, I'm going to ask for a date change too rather than point/tax refunds.

I have called them up get it on my 'file' so that when I'm ready, I just call. I have tested the route in sectors and of the 3, 2 are savers and one was a WL. BUT, that was only in R.

I'd like F all the way. 😁
I will report if I get away with arguing that I had a saver, so therefore I'd still like to have a saver. Otherwise, under protest I will take an advantage as I transferred some VA points over. They will see that of course so I can't exactly plead poor mouth.

Similar story here - I filled out the COVID-19 specific form on the SQ website and got a call a day later, but the agent had no idea how to handle a date change to an equivalent date in 2021 (most likely due to it being way more than 355 days away). So I'll have to twiddle my thumbs in the meantime waiting for that date to come around and then call in. It'd be nice to have a note on file for that to happen automatically but I'm not liking my chances.

Haha you walked right into that one mate, I've never had a chance to discuss any maths here so the chance came knocking on my door 😂
Got it off eBay, whilst I can't find the exact listing of my purchase, I found one awfully similar here. See how you go, it's the only aircraft model I've got and it's amazing seeing it sit on the coffee table every day as a reminder of the great times flying with SQ!

Edit: wow TI-82? Damn, I don't think I was even born when they were around! CAS calculators have now come a long long way since then, and even since my own VCE years (2008, where did time go...), it's improved leaps and bounds.

Though I wasn't as naughty as you and did only actual maths on my ones haha!
