Yep agreed. Mobile boarding passes are super handy for those willing but for many other people its just a hassle to have them foisted upon them.Yeah. I wonder if that will ever be practical?
Folk without smart phones. And phones running out of battery.
Not to mention the additional time it takes to board as people fuss around, then realise their screen has locked, then unlock, then try again, then try to get the code in focus…
If airlines want to speed up boarding go back to paper!
Lots of people now use Mobile Phone myki cards on public transport in Victoria, often takes them ages to touch-off while blocking the exit for everyone else. As if myki wasn’t slow enough, these mobile users are making it even more painful. This is the future of air travel as boarding becomes slower and slower (not to mention the gate agent can’t see what’s being scanned).
