You only needed to spend $5k for the bonus points!
I know. Put the money through IG to buy some cheap ANZ shares, especially given the dividend will be paid in about 7 weeks time. I now need to pay the money straight away so that I can use the card for other purchases.

Picked up my card today from the local branch.

Spent $15K immediately on it. Now need to pay some money into the account.

Does anyone know the B Pay Biller code number for this account and whether its just your credit card number to use as the reference or is there a different account number that should be used?
BPay biller code is 9779.
Ref is your account number, which for me is my card number.

Applied today. Had to nominate a branch for card collection.
5 days later I get an SMS and an email telling me that because the address for my online banking account and what I wrote in my application doesn't match they can't proceed until this is fixed. I'm supposed to log onto online banking and change my address or go to a branch and fix it. I know the difference in addresses is trivial. Eg my old one was 5/60 and the one I put in my application was 5/60 - 62. Both are correct!

I do not have access to online banking with St George because I do not have any St George accounts. Idiots!

I had a similar response initially but I did call them and they fixed up over the phone and then approved straight away

Similar here. Addresses didn't exactly match, although both were correct. Closed my old St G account nearly 10 years ago so impossible to login to update my address, as requested.

Finally resolved by phoning them. Card is now on the way.

I applied yesterday. got a text just now saying that it is approved and they will send the card to me in 5 days. Does council rate count toward the spending target for the 90K bonus points? TIA

Echoing similar experiences as others, this card has been the fastest and most hassle free to date.

In 5 days I've applied, been approved, received the welcome pack, received the card, started the spend.

Wow... simply blown away by the customer experience team. Inside a week, they have:

- Reason for rejection investigated, result bank error.
- Advice to re-apply and follow up on application to ensure the same bank error isnt made.
- Re-applied & approved within 8hours.
- Confirmation today (7 days since initial query raised), confirming that the 1st credit hit will be scrubbed from my files with Equifax, Experian and Illion (D&B).
- Communication right throughout the process - both phone call and follow up emails.

Well done Dragon - hopefully your points crediting is as swift as your actions here!

Just a reminder that as soon as you get your card you can sign up for the free lunge passes. Link for Qantas passes here:

St George Lounge Pass - Home

My suggestion is to hold off until you need them or until you're ready to cancel the card, in order to get the maximum validity period of the passes.

I don't believe so, no. In an online chat with St George earlier this week when I was querying about Australia Post Billpay being eligible for the points, I was told no because Australia Post is a government entity.

Thanks Danger. The key concern is if it is counted toward the spending target. 5K QFF points is peanut compared to the 90K bonus. When paying council rate, they will charge the merchandise or credit card fee.

+1s card is on the way, and I have just been provisionally approved as well this evening...easy 180K QF pts for $278 :) thanks DrR

I am putting a lot of my CC transactions on this Visa card. It has become a great replacement for other cards that have lowered their rewards.

mrs tizey just approved for this card too. 2nd cheapest lot of Qantas points we've ever taken up.

There’s conflicting advice on whether redacted payments qualify for the bonus points spend. I was told it did qualify. Can anyone advise one way or t’other?

This time around no one is going to be able to confirm from actual experience until they get the bonus points, this may take 3 months.

Ok thanks. But there’s no reason this offer should be different from the previous dragon offer is there? Also, would you plse redact my reference you quoted, to certain charges paying points.
I had a PM pointing out that it’s best if I don’t name that specifically.

I'd say that there's no reason to think that the terms would automatically be the same as previous offerings of the same card.
