Thank you all who responded…. Mine have arrived in our KrisFlyer
I hope we won't all be looking for the same flights over the next 3 to 4 years. The competition could be enormous
Oddly, while the Sunday worked for transfers, they’d changed the “batch” size you must transfer from 500 to 600 already.

Is there a cap? I didn't think so. But then it's never been my main spending card so maybe.
yep sniff sniffWhat a bugger - deval of pts earnt Aug/Sep has already cost me a O/W R/F Adv rdpt OZ-EU or OZ-LAX - ‘the ol’ grey mare ain’t what she used to be’ huh?
Only that you will lose any birthday bonus points that have been earnt, but not yet credited to you.any ramifications on card cancellation ?
After the bonus of 90K/150K Amplify Points are posted , how soon can we cancel the card and if there are any ramifications on card cancellation ?
I am trying to make use of the advantage package which entitles me to have a free credit card but don't want to have a card with higher limit against my name.
Any suggestions are welcome , thanks.
Immediately cancelling is no issue. In fact if you can, meet the spend before the end of the first month, transfer the bonus points out, repay what you’ve spent and cancel the card before the annual fee is posted on the last statement day. I did exactly this back in May. Card was open for less than 2 weeks. 150k bonus amplify points for $0.
Did you have to chase the bonus points up? I’ve always had issues with slow points postings…
I’ve found that most of these “rewards” cards where you earn Amplify rewards, Amex MR, ANZ rewards etc (as opposed to earning direct to QFF or VFF) seem to credit the bonus points immediately/almost immediately with the transaction that takes you over the minimum spend threshold. This happened for me in this case as well as well. 150k bonus points posted within a day of making the spend.
Thanks for sharing, I’ve actually found the opposite on most cases so very interesting to hear.
cancel the card before the annual fee is posted on the last statement day.
