Status credit from Qatar flight

A quick update, my claim via the online portal for SC of the DOH-IST flight was rejected again. Again, i called QF, they promise to do it manually within 24 hrs. QF system is currently down thus I cannot check, but will update again when SC and points are finally in my account.

This is obviously a systemic problem with Qantas crediting QR flights. Flights BNE-DOH-DUS and return. BNE-DOH flights credited straight away (first and last segments), but nix for DOH-DUS. Online claim rejected with "AIRFARE AND BOOKING CLASS NOT ELIGIBLE TO EARN" despite the fact that it is exactly the same class and fare basis as the first leg (Business I).

Agree. To make it worse, QF calling centre seems unapologetic about this. We would have to go through all the ritual of online claim > rejected > call > email them the boarding passes. I still have to claim points for Mrs Longtoo flights (we were travelling together).

When I called, they tried to tell me it was not QF's fault, but that QR awarded the points. I could sort of understand that QR could be at fault for not providing information to QF (i.e. not sending the fact that the flight had been taken by someone with a QF FF number and details), but when QF have been provided the e-ticket details and come back claiming that the "airfare and booking class not eligible to earn" it is obvious that QR has nothing to do with it.

I now have a theory - and will get to test it out when/if they process the claim.

When I try and use the Points calculator to check points for DOH-DUS, it finds Doha fine as FROM, but when trying to put Dusseldorf into the TO city, it says no matching city. My theory is that the calculator references the same tables used for crediting, and if the route / partner combination has not been loaded, then no points get credited, as well as the calculator not showing anything.

All the data points mentioned up thread now show up in the points calculator with a rate for QR. My theory is that when the claim is made, the route is added by someone, and thereafter the points calculator shows it, and in theory future flights on the route should post.

Will be interested to see if DOH-DUS (and vice versa) show in the calculator after this gets sorted. DUS is known to the calculator (at least for DUS-LHR on BA).

The online missing points claim form includes DUS <-> DOH.

For a while there, Berlin was a problem. They only had TXL and not BER - for about 2 yrs after TXL closed.

That form is dumb - there is no cross reference between the From and To so you can pick any combination of cities, including ones where there are no flights (which is probably a good thing, as at least it gets you started on the missing points merry go round).

There is another strange anomaly with the partner airline earn tables in this case. Have flown BNE-DOH-DUS and vice versa with short transits in DOH.

The partner table rates for Business Class for Brisbane to Doha give 80 SC and 7,400 points (which have credited). The tables give the rates for Western Europe to Doha as 60 SC and 3,000 points, which is what I expect I will end up getting. However, the partner earn rate from Brisbane to Western Europe is supposed to be 140 SC and 13,125 points. By crediting the separate sectors, it looks like I may end up 2,725 points short.

Well, it's not really coming up short because it's not possible to get those 13,125 points in the first place until someone runs one flight number from Brisbane to Western Europe. I agree it's weird that they don't line up though.

Looks like it could be a typical QF dig at those using QR. The table is the same for SYD/MEL/BNE, but the breakdown if the transit point is SIN gives the same result for either SYD to Western Europe or the sum of SYD-SIN and SIN-Western Europe. This route does have a single flight number on a partner - BA16 from SYD to LHR.

SYD+1 flew CGK-DOH-MAD a few weeks ago. All QR metal and both flights credited within 1 day. I’m doing similar in a few weeks, but on the IB codeshare DOH-MAD. I’ll report back!
Landed in MAD a few hours ago (IB metal, QR flight#) and both CGK-DOH/DOH-MAD have posted to QFF. Funny, my positioning QF flight up on Tue from SYD (J CR) only just posted an hour earlier (normally they post same day or next at the latest).

Anyway, my dashboard is now showing SCs to WP1. 😁

I have got the QFF points for my wife. The process seems to be:
1- Log a SC credit request via the online portal. Most likely it will be rejected
2- Email [email protected], attach the ticket and a photo of the boarding pass. They would manually process within 24 hrs.

It is most important to keep a copy of the boarding pass.
