Status credits and points with Red Energy

Similar story here, continuing on my Red > Origin > Red churn-ey.

18 Nov - applied to Origin
19 Nov (1 day) - Received "thanks for signing up" confirmation email from Origin
3 Dec (15 days) - "your Origin energy account is confirmed" email from WWR
11 Dec (23 days) - "we have to change your charges" email
12 Dec (24 days) - "your electricity account is now setup" email
18 Dec (30 days) - points for both electricity and gas post to WWR
19 Dec (31 days) - points post to QFF account after nightly sweep from WWR
23 Dec (35 days) - "your gas account is now setup" email

24 Dec (36 days) - Applied to move back to Red
13 Jan (56 days) - Customer retention call from Origin, told them where to go
18 Jan (61 days) - Meter read
24 Jan (66 days) - 10k points show up dated 22 Jan
25 Jan (67 days) - "as of 18 Jan you are a Red customer" confirmation email

No SC or gas points yet, but assuming no issues there, this felt like worthwhile hassle for 25k points + 30 SC. Will probably put a note in my diary to look at what promos are running in 11 months time and kick off the process again. Certainly don't need to leave Red for a full 12 months to be eligible for bonus points.

The move to Origin did trigger a utilities consumer credit enquiry with Illion but nothing on Equifax/Experian. Switching back to Red didn't show on any of my files.

I started to move to Red Energy, using Mrs ChrisMars QFF number, as 30 SC would let her retain gold. I cancelled the move during the cool off period, as Qantas announced the new extension + rollover support: Mrs ChrisMars already maxed out the amount of SC that can rollover, and I still had some missing to max out mine. So I reapplied to Red Energy with my own QFF, and just got the electricity SC and points. Gaz should follow up soon hopefully.

A fair bit of hassle, it was much easier to just fly. Looking forward to International travel reopening.

Great effort. I need to show more of your persistence next time. I hope you used somebody's referral code on the way back to Red!

I sure did! No idea if I'm eligible for a referral bonus but that'd be an extra 5k if I am.

Signup bonus exclusion are 12 months right? Is it something that can be shortened by using own name, then partner name? Also keen to churn, but need to wait anoher 6 month atm.

Anyone waiting a longer time than usual for QF points to post from Red Energy after paying a bill? I paid Red electricity bill on August 9 and points still outstanding. Usually they arrive by the following Sunday at the latest.

For my last bill (due 6 August) they took 12 days to arrive from due date. They are normally a bit faster than that but they rocked up eventually.
