They really are pushing it. Afaik the T&Cs stated that bonus points would be credited within 12 weeks after spending criteria is met. I am waiting myself as noted above and it makes me mildly cranky as i am eager to swap to accrue Amplify points and delaying some purchases because of it.
I wish I'd have considered delay in points posting when signing for QF version - too used to how amex does this (and even westpac and anz were quick)

Data point: Spent 4K within the first statement period. Received promptly after e-statement was issued.

Did they come through as a separate posting or as part of your normal monthly points?

I wonder if STG do a separate run every 3 months for the bonus points, which is why it's "up to 12 weeks" but can be quicker depending on timing.

I received my bonus points yesterday, also showed on my statement which was issued today! Pretty happy with that. (I reached the minimum spend in April some time)
They were posted into my FF account together with my normal spending points.

I believe it came in as a single posting. Although I did have some spend via QF so that bonus came in under a separate entry as well.

Lucky. Seems many have been waiting longer and still haven't received the points.

Applied late October 2018, met minimum spend requirements within a month, received bonus points with second statement in mid-December. Overall a very smooth process.

Called up St George to follow up the missing points (more than four months with no bonus points). There was a bug on their end that didn't issue the bonus points.

If anyone has any trouble, call 1300 489 586 (Option 1, 3)

I just rang them and they said I am not eligible for the points because I had another card with them that I cancelled less than 12 months ago ... damn, should have read the fine print !

Can anyone that is self-employed (sole trader) who has applied for this card shred some light on what the process was like? Mrs SoftDraw runs her own business but don't want to sign her up if they are going to make us run around in cirlces...

Thanks in advance

Seems like it's fixed. Wife's points posted this week without a call to them. 4th statement was due

I've got another 6 or so weeks to go before my 12 month exclusion expires. Had a look and it is no $179 (reduced) for the first year fee instead of $0 which it was at various stages through the promotion and as recently as a month or so back.

I applied about 12 months ago. My application was conditionally approved, subject to further verification. This is what they asked for:

"Your Notice of Assessment issued no older than 18 months (please remove your Tax File Number), AND Bank statements showing your business income/expenses from the last 2 months. If your business income is deposited into a Westpac Group account- Bank statements are not required."

I provided it immediately and the final approval came through within about 48 hours, so pretty painless for me.

Data point - I've had card for just over 4 weeks, and I was speaking to dragon rewards team, and they said that they can see the bonus points have been credited to my card and will appear in QF rewards at time of next statement, so that was pleasing.

2nd data point - they also said that I don't need to now wait for bonus points to appear in QF rewards to switch reward programs (given that the points are listed against my card and will be posted to QF even if I switch beforehand)

I hit minimum spend April 15th and just got my bonus points on my last statement yesterday.

The points are in my qantas account, when can I cancel this card so I can move onto the next one? Straight away as the points are safely in my qantas account now?

Then how long after closing the card does that card disappear from 'current open cards' on my credit report?

Sorry am new to this and just want to maximise my chances of getting approved for the next card. I got denied for the ANZ FF black card last month, most likely because I had this at George card active and another ANZ one (packaged to my home loan).

Thanks!

As soon as the points hit your Qantas account you can cancel.

Yes as above noted, ASAP. I'm guessing that your rejection from ANZ wasn't because of your ANZ card - I've been regularly getting approved despite having up to 7 open at one time. Only had one rejection which was the Virgin High Fliyer after applying 3 months after closing the previous one.

I haven't sussed out how accurate your "Closing date" on Credit Reports align to the date you actually cancel but they all seemed in the ballpark. You can apply for this card again 12 months from when it is closed. Despite what is in the credit report, St.George will have that on record and can advise you - so that is the date you want to be fixed on...which should be the date you advise them.

Actually this is not technically quite correct, from what I understand from talking to Dragon the other day. As soon as the points are registered against your credit card (which you can find out by calling their rewards dept), you can transfer reward programs, and your points will still post in your QF account at the time of the next statement

My bonus points have posted (received into QFF account) after my third statement, about 2 months after eligible spend criteria was met. Can't complain...
