ENTIRE mini bar contents from a certain hotel brand. YES, it's allowed, replaced every day and FREE. :)

2 colleagues from the U.S. Stayed at the Ovolo in MEL last week and raved about it. Said it was one of the best they have stayed in with oodles of character.

These guys travel a lot too.

They loved the "clear out the mini bar" feature

The Sofitel So in Singapore has free minibar but items are limited to beer soft drinks and snacks.

slightly off topic ..... 5 star hotel in Vegas had sex toys purchasable along side the peanuts, mars bars

Ditto similar hotel in Kuala Lumpur during Ramadan! Indeed, they had a featured bowl of sex toys with a ribbon around it. (All carefully itemised on the mini-bar list).

I always grab the pens and every now and then the toiletries ( have such a stockpile in the bathroom at home by now)

Always keep the Hilton Peter Thomas Roth shower gel though as its a favourite...

I only ever take the toiletries - and only if they are nice. I think there is enough shampoo and conditioner to last a few years!

Years ago we stayed in a hotel in Halong Bay, Vietnam. At check-in we were given the TV remote control along with the room key .
Both had to be returned on check-out.

I've had that at motels in Meekatharra and Kununarra

You wouldn't believe what we saw being smuggled out of Bedarra Island - the 24hr, fully inclusive open Bedarra Bar was way too much temptation for some.

Stayed at a classy resort in Canton with a group of gal pals, decided to nick the laundry bag. Thought it would be good for the teenage son. OMG the fuss and interrogation was unbelievable. Deny deny deny worked - despite my blushes. They must have had an army of people checking over the room the instant I shut the door! The worst thing was, the kid never used it, continued to fling his dirty clothes on the floor.

Canton? Near Peking?

Free re-fillable hotel minibar.

Next month with be stashing the small alcohol bottels for each of the 9 nights we stay in the hotel (refer to a previous hotel brand/name i mentioned a few pages ago!).

Will also take the bottles of water / softdrink to finish each day (or by the time we get to the airport! ) while we do our daily activities.

Doesn't even include the mini bathroom items: mint shampoo & conditioning. Malin & Goetz?

Can't exactly remember the name, but I enjoy using it back home!

I suppose you also bring your own take-away containers to buffets? Get any complaints??

Honest person :- uses what they need during their stay and takes any partially used items that would otherwise be thrown away.
Dishonest person :- see above

Honest person pays $200 for hotel room and drinks mini bar dry every day.

Dishonest person pays $200 for hotel room and doesn't drink mini bar contents every day but should leave them there for the next person to drink mini bar dry?

They are both entitled to the mini bar contents and should happily be able to decide what they each do with them. No dishonesty about it.

The hotel room rate includes a charge for the minibar. Does an honest person book a hotel room and then sleep on the [-]roof[/-] Floor so they don't 'use' the bed sheets?
