Strategy to obtain US Amex

I have my billing address set to Australia now after initially setting it to my 'US residential address' and I've been paying $5 US through my Capital One credit card. It was mentioned up thread a while back about removing the taxes and it seems to work still.
Ya, I did set it up with AU address at $5/mo but then read somewhere that the phone bill could be used as utility bill for verification and also kind of serves in creating data points for yourself when bank likes chase try to verify you by using random address etc...not sure how much of that is true but I didn't mind switching it to match myus address for a dollar extra.

just got approved AMEX Hilton Honors credit card, but I need help to get that post to Australian address, anyone had experience or any tricks to get this done. Much appreciated your help

Wait 10 days, call Amex & ask them to send a replacement card to your Australian address.

Not true. I’ve been able to get Amex to send all 5 of my cards to my Australian address after the 10 days.
Thank you very much for hints,
what should say to them as I need the card to send to Australia? sorry I'm new to this, apricated your help.

Yes, I do have US mobile number, they did verify those details before approving the card.

No . I meant one does not need to wait for 10 days if one is an established Amex customer . That’s what the last csa mentioned to me .
I do have Australian AMEX platinum card, but this is my first US card and probably I will wait for 10 days to redirect the card to Australia.

Has anybody received the Form 1099INT from Amex about interest earned on their Business Checking account, or for any bank bonuses received? Looking for any tips on how to go about filing it as this also helps keep the ITIN active.

So, that would be for the US tax year ending 31 December 2023? US tax filing can be done on-line via the IRS website (for free) or through an Agent. Tax filing is meant to be completed by 15 April, annually, which is today, US time.

Anything to keep in mind when filing online? Is it just via the IRS site with an id.me account?

That’s how I did it few weeks ago. Had to go through an on-line ID verification, including holding up my passport selfie-style.
Thanks. Bummer I might have left it to late.

I've submitted my details and it's being reviewed for a video call but they mentioned 2-3 days so it's unlikely I'll meet the deadline tonight.

Did you have go through a video call as well? I haven't found anything online whether I could still use direct file after today.

You can still file a late return, but it is subject to a financial penalty. Have your ID ready for the video call. You will receive all of the information before the call.

I remember getting a letter from IRS
about payment being late in September 2022 and paying without creating an account (I got my ITIN in 2022).

Haven’t received anymore letters since then.

Should I create an account and check if I’m going to be arrested in the US border during my next holiday? 😬
