Getting a refund within 30 days of cancellation is perfectly normal practice. Won't have any negative consequences.Has anyone had this happen before? Should I be worried about future applications?
Thanks @levelnine, very helpful. Have you done this before? I'm wondering how I will access the refund if they have cancelled my card. Will it be applied to another card?Getting a refund within 30 days of cancellation is perfectly normal practice. Won't have any negative consequences.
Yes, it'll leave your account with a negative balance. Secure message to move the balance to another card. If you don't do that, they'll eventually send you a cheque. Thanks @levelnine, very helpful. My P2 one came today too, similar timeframeITIN from SH Studio arrived. Applied 27th June so pretty quick turn around!!
Hmm applied with SH Studio on 17th June and received the ITIN over the phone with the IRS. Haven't received the notice/letter yet.ITIN from SH Studio arrived. Applied 27th June so pretty quick turn around!!
Yeah I'd assume it shouldn't be too far away!Hmm applied with SH Studio on 17th June and received the ITIN over the phone with the IRS. Haven't received the notice/letter yet.
Hopefully it arrives soon as amex is requesting for notice before they can open the checking account.
From my reading, best to apply for an Amex with the ITIN first and wait 1-2 mths before applying with Chase. Now that I have an ITIN, would I need to apply for an AMEX to link my ITIN to my account? Or could I apply for a Chase card directly with an ITIN? Not sure if it's linked to my credit profile however
IMHO it is easiest to use some sort of low fee money transfer service, e.g. wise, remitly, revolut, etc. You will need to do your due diligence and find the one with the lowest fees and best service for your situation, although in my experience, they often have similar fees and rates etc to each other because they are all in competition.
Why not just use Wise or Revolut to do an ACH transfer. They use banks that are located in the US so its not an overseas transfer.Has anyone managed to transfer funds from an oversea acc to amex checking as yet? thank you.
