Strategy to obtain US Amex

For the Amex checking debit cards (both personal and business). Can you call up to request the card to be sent overseas after 10 days?

Will there be any issues in leaving the card unactivated?

I've also just applied for the business checking account after the personal one was approved. This time they requested for driver license and since I had no driver license had to do notarycam to verify passport. Called up after the notarycam and was instantly approved.
May i ask, was your Aussie address on your ITIN form ?

More general question, using a US credit card in AU at a self serve checkout - what happens if you spend more than e.g. AU$100 and the machine would normally ask for a pin? Will it just get approved without a pin or will it get declined

So would my best course of action be: first to apply for gold over the phone and then call back to apply for the brilliant, after they're approved then upgrade the green to gold. Then downgrade one of the golds back to green? How easy would this be without an SSN/ITIN and no GT? Would the upgrade count towards one of my 2/90.
Thanks!
Just an update, tried to call to apply for the Gold card with a 60k signup bonus and was told I wouldn't be eligible for the SUB due to my Amex history so I might be in pop-up jail. I haven't cancelled any cards, but I haven't put any charges on it for a while, might try put some charges through and see if it helps.

It usually asks for signature. Make sure you have signed on the back of the card and have an ID to match the signature on the card. YMMV as it depends on the staff. I ran into few of them asking to show physical DL Were not accepting the digital one, but all good as these were high value discounted Visa GC deals.

A bit late to the HSBC solution. The premier CC now has an AF of $95 instead of free. Was a good option for building up credit history.

The staff actually checked for all that? When I made purchases, they didn't even have a pen at the self serve and just let me go without signing.

I am trying to upload insurance policy docs for gobal mail ID verification, however, its keep showing its extracting data, but never finishes. I wonder if anyone had similar expereience before, I tried 2 x files already and end up like this.

How long have you been stuck, and how long have you been putting more spend on existing cards? (multiple statement periods?)
About an year for Brilliant but along the way I've been able to get other cards. Been getting a new card or 2 once every 3 months but these largely have been business cards which are usually easier to get so have been constantly spend on their cards. The Bonvoy Biz card was in cold storage for 4-5 months but have been spending on it for last 2 statements.

yeah I found that funny that as most of them made me sign the receipt, some had to ask around for a pen. There was only one guy who couldn't care less took the receipt and binned it.

Does this mean my Maza ITIN request is fully submitted? Or do they still need to do something with the Submission Form?
I don't think your application is sent to the IRS until they've uploaded all 3 forms, you should also get an email that it's been sent, I received mine to confirm it's been sent to the IRS this morning and all 3 documents were completed

Do you know how self serve checkouts will ask for signatures? What if I don't have a pen on me, etc
Give the store assistant person a wave when ‘signature required’ pops up. They will provide the pen when verifying. That’s how it works with me at Coles/WW anyway. It’s nothing new.

I’ve found that some small transactions (at IGA and also my coffee shop) don’t require a signature.

You don't just request them to scan it for you
I do that. But feel paranoid leaving my CC/sensitive letters there without collecting them even though I already had replacements sent to Australia. I should just leave them there and not wasting money but I had the urge to get hold of my things rather leaving with strangers. hahah. In time maybe I need to learn to ignore them.

Get them to throw it away
