Last attempt with getting a bonvoy through GT i got asked for an address and they noticed it was a parcel forwarding address.
Is there any tips or companys no on the radar?

Any reason why they asked? Would you have applied on-line or over the phone. I have 3 x US Amex by GT, applied on-line, and have never been asked for address confirmation. Have I missed something regarding your application?

I used Skypax for my Hilton Aspire with no issues

My Gold Card was just tagged as a breach of the T&Cs (no financial products/credit cards) when it arrived in my suite. I have instructed them to dispose of it and will phone Amex when the 10days are up to have it sent here

I was unable to open a MyUS address ..... for reasons that still escape me

Hi everyone, like a few others I am looking to get a summary on completing a GT for a Hilton Honors Surpass CC. I've gone through a lot of the pages and there is an overwhelming amount of information.

Hoping for someone to assist in making recommendations for the easiest methods for the below.

Address - How do you go about using a US address? Can't say I know anyone abroad in the US.
Parcel Forwarding - Utilise MyUS
Verify Identity/Address - A.a.
Phone - Any particular companies that works well that I can apply for her.e
Process Payments - Wise (?).

I do have a Citi Prestige if that helps.

I have an upcoming trip to the Maldives at Conrad in the middle of Feb - would it be a push to receive a card by then?

As an aside, does your credit history have an impact for the US GT? And vice versa does Aus banks know about you holding an overseas AMEX?

I just used MyUS address for receiving my AMEX card, and Textnow number for receiving AMEX text messages. And Wise has a US checking account , which you can use for paying off your bills.

Yup, if you apply for a card via the GT route, your Aussie credit score will be taken into account. And no, the Aussie AMEX guys won't know that you have a US issured AMEX.

If you apply today and get approved instantly, you will get the card , probably 5 to 7 days later at your US address . If you use a mail forwarding address, then you have the option of getting it sent via a fast courier service , such as DHL Express. Usually it takes 5 days to reach Australia from USA.

Dunno, they asked me to confirm my address for the Gold Card. No issues with Amex, only Skypax

I just used MyUS for my address and then they asked me to call and I verbally confimed. I'm fairly sure it doesn't appear on your Aust credit record at all.

In terms of processing time, I got approved on 12th December and it didn't leave MyUs until 22nd December. Xmas delayed it a bit and according to the tracking it only got to Aus this morning so looking at almost a month between approval and having the card. I could have paid more for faster shipping but I can't be bothered.

Mobile, I got a T-Mobile eSim at $10USD/month. It was instant and recieves texts ok. Am just about to swap it to their $5/month data only plan but I'm still after something cheaper so contemplating US Mobile or H2O Wireless. I cannot get any text app to work for me.

Re the Maldives trip, your status will instantly be upgraded if you're not already Gold (why not go for Aspire and get Diamond?) and my Priority Pass was set up within about 3 days and I've already used it twice which was lovely.

I'm not sure if they tried to call me but I just called them and asked for the GT team. It's pre-paid and doesn't require a card on file for an auto top-up so I assume you can just stop paying.

GT is based on your relationship with Amex Australia. And AU banks won’t know.

It seems to be only available for US/CAN residents. I’ve tried bypassing this by using VPN, changing the region of my App Store to US but can’t make it work.

In which case, you should call them.

It's very common to require a phone call to get an application approved in the US.

For me they left a Textnow voicemail reminding me of the next steps in the GT application.

More likely it would be address verification (I used the Wise bank statement method but it looks like that has been closed off as they want a retail bank and not an online bank). But still worth a shot.

More likely it would be address verification

It could also be a simple verbal confirmation of your address and phone number and then approved whilst on the call. This happened with my 2nd GT. It's also possible that if you wait a few days and then call that they have already approved it as was the case with my other half last month who also got the message to call Amex. She called and they said it was already approved but no formal address verification was necessary.

Made 2 different applications and learnt the hard lesson of how GT is supposed to work.

One application was from an existing Amex Login but the card was closed 3months ago, when applying via this route, the application page didn't pickup the details like name etc and went via Nova credit check and asked me to submit form 4506. I think for this one, will give a call and try to connect to GT team and/or submit Aussie payslips.

2nd application was from an active amex card account, it auto pulled my name, dob, there was no Nova check and page said something like moving to US.
For GT route less details have to be put in. Application was fast, after submitting they asked me to call them.
I called them immediately but the CR said the application is still under review, no further action needed at the moment. Then he said he would need to transfer me to another team, who are currently NA, reckon that would be the GT team.

As mentioned above, I'm going to wait for few days and if I don't hear from them I'll give them a call next week.

If the US bank account opened with AU address, can I change it to a US address later online?

i would be interested in responses re proof of address. i have a relative's address in US to use but don't have "proof" I live there!
