That's just for the bank account. You're required to subscribe for 1 year to get the ITIN. But there's nothing stopping you to cancel the sub after the first year once you receive it.

Via Fiverr messages (and received an email notification). It's coming via Post to my US address also.

Has anyone managed to complete verification with Maza ? After paying usd50 and trying to sign up for itin , it says one needs to be within 10 mts of us address . Tried using vpn for ca but page does not progress . Any ideas ?

Try Nord VPN out when they have promotion 100% cash back via any cashback portal. I got subscriptions for 2 years for free from cash rewards. Seeing promotion very often.

I'm on android. I just searched fake gps on the play store and I installed one of the first 2 results.

The one I used was pretty cough, full of ads and not that user friendly. Not sure I can recommend lol

Oh yeah. You have to enable mock locations in the developer settings to make it work.

I am using iOS . Maza mentioned I was 140 mts away from address . How did you get refund from Maza ?
Apparently none of iOS apps work too well .
Read that you need to install app on iMac and tether iPhone .

Message them through the app and they will give you a link to request a refund.

This will take time & patience, so either “Patience hurry up” or “Hurry up & wait”. This has not been tested & is a strategy that might work to obtain a US Amex Plat Business Charge Card with a USD$450 annual fee. The Australian version is quite a hefty annual fee in excess of AUD$1500.

Building credit:

Open a BofA checking account & obtain a secured credit card. It can be done in 15 mins and all you need is a passport and driver licence. Deposit USD$2200 into checking account, by keeping a balance of above USD$1500 so you will incur no monthly banking fees. Obtaining a secured credit card with a USD$300 limit, will need to upfront a USD$300 security deposit upfront & pay a USD$49 annual fee. This will be deducted from your checking account, leaving a balance of USD$1851. Every month using your secured credit card make 2 small separate purchase ie coffees, wait for statement to arrive & pay it off in full. Around 10-12 months BofA will refund you the security deposit & issue you a non secured credit card. Best to call & speak to banking associate about annual fee free credit cards they can issue you so you avoid paying another USD$49 annual fee for the secured credit card. Continue to make 2 small purchases a month & paying it off for around 18-24 months till you see a FICO score.


Now that you have a FICO score banks & lenders can see your credit score they will be likely to give you credit. Next to obtain an LLC with an EIN (Employer Identification Number) prior to opening a business checking account.


An LLC is essentially a hybrid between a corporation and a partnership. It provides the limited liability of a corporation, so your personal assets are protected in case of a lawsuit or bankruptcy and the operational flexibility of a partnership structure. An accountant can set that up for you with Operation Agreement & Articles of Organisations for a fee. With LLC formed & EIN number obtain you can then open a business checking account & apply for business credit cards. Bear in mind you will need a US address when applying for an LLC, EIN, Business checking account & business credit cards.

SSN can be avoided if applying for Business credit cards, due to obtaining an EIN. Many US personal credit cards require SSNs. BofA is one of the easiest Banks to open and checking account & obtaining non secured credit card with patience & time.

But it’s worth noting that the quote to which you refer is 6yrs old and it is acknowledged that much has changed since then; including - especially - the AFs of most of the credit cards

It’s also worth noting that many people, in the 400 pages of data in this thread, have had different experiences. Much depends on the CSA with whom you speak

I’ve had quite a few colleagues who’ve been able to open BoA accounts (on the west coast) whilst in the US on business. I haven’t done it but my understanding is that a passport sufficed and the SSN field was populated by zeros.

Processes are obviously changing, as you would expect, but understanding those changes is, in part, what this thread is about

I saw Maza but could not find any DP hence I went with SH Studio for peace of mind, But initially I was attracted by Maza low fee as well but didnt want to risk for more hassle. Just applied for P2 a week ago with SH Studio and again a smooth process, waiting for ITIN.

Got knocked back by Amex gcr team for my family members gt application . My planet express add was identified as a mailing service .
So they need an actual physical address and also evidence of a utility bill or bank statement .

Anyone opened a HSBC Premier Mastercard via global banking? Seems they also might give you a 5k limit based off your overseas status. Could possibly help with building credit?
It is 1:1 transfer to QFF as in indirect earn, so not a great rate vs the AUD cards. I have their USD checking account/debit card, registered to my AU address. This at least allows local ATM withdrawals etc and a local routing number.
