Maybe someone can comment on Barclays-issued cards.
Last year I got it approved instantly with an invitation and code from a flight attendant on AA flight. No minimum spend, fee free for first year for 60k. I kept it one year then cancelled it. I'd day grab it before it goes away.

Was there any favourable outcome here? Applied for a CSP after my Ink application went nowhere and being asked for a W-9 form. Not sure how to progress or if this one is toast as well
Naah mate they couldn't verify. I applied for 2 cards over 4-5 month period and both the times verification seemed to be an issue. I've given up on Chase till I visit and open a bank account in branch.

Any idea what Costco tracks at? I have $3k worth of Accor gift cards to buy and figured this would be a good way to meet half of the SUB spend - would be a lovely bonus if they got 3x!
Costco codes as Wholesale Clubs which is different from the Grocery Stores MCC. It tracks as 1x on the HSBC. I tried it a few weeks ago as I had similar thoughts as you.

Do you need to open a checking account in person or can you skip straight to opening a CC in person?

Huge news for those racking up massive MR balances.

Hawaiian now transfers to Alaska 1:1.
I'm reading reports on frequent miler that MR transfers (to Hawaiian?) are now getting cancelled. Not sure if true.

Edit: it might have just been a bug.

What are people's recent experiences with getting a Capital One card? Looking to get the venture card at some point (once I have my FICO score and its high enough)

Journey so far
- Have a HSBC Premier CC, which I got relatively easy as am a Premier customer in AU & the UK
- Applied for Amex Green through Australian profile GT (or maybe it was my UK can't remember), fairly confident I will receive approval today after providing all the ITIN & address paperwork

Issues I think I might run into with C1 based on reading upthread:
- Using a MyUS address
- Having a Tello number (though read this might be ok)
- Using card almost exclusively outside the USA (fraud blocks)

Called chase again tonight. Apparently my account has already been closed due to thin credit history and too many recent card applications. Asked for reconsideration/reinstatement and they did another credit pull and denied again.

Called 2 more times for reinstatement. First call, lady said I had a thin credit history, have no public record of me and phone number not even in my name.
2nd call lady says I have too many cards and the chase card can never be reopened again. Welcome to apply again for a new card but not guaranteed approval.

I guess that is it?

What would they do if you had a small outstanding balance in situations like this? Do they still close and demand the money?

I've just applied for my first Chase Business Card - Ink Cash. Got the "We have sent a letter requesting more information" on the automated status line. This happened with my first two personal chase cards also and it was just ITIN and address verification. Any recent DP's on what the additional information would be for a business card?

How long is your credit history? What is your fico score? How many cards do you have open?

About 4 years. First Amex card was back in May 2020.
Applied for my 2nd amex through GT in June this year.
Credit score on amex was about 804 before the score was removed in July.

Chase was my first card with an ITIN and I applied in August. Was approved initially, received card and card was locked upon activation.

I also recently applied for a 3rd amex business card last week. This could have spooked them. They did note thin credit history and recent card applications for reason of closure.

Could be that they see only 1 card with long history, then 3 card apps inc the Chase in the last few months. (Though I thought business cards don't show up on credit reports and amex doesn't do hard pulls for existing card holders.)
