From other forums Amex specifically its against T and C to pay yourself
I could do using yakpay or pay.com.au to Sunsuper but have a SMSF and they wont let you use a Amex card for that - can use a MC or VISA - this is for australian issued cards - maybe a US amex card would work for a third party pay service but the fees would start creeping up I imagine

Would it better to buy large denomination gift cards from officeworks and save them for future use or give them to trusted friends or family for reimbursement later ?

Update regarding my ink application : just completed request to complete W9 form online .

Does this mean it will likely be approved ?

Not necessarily but good sign. Normally I would just ask them to verify me over the phone instead of the W9.

If not directly . Should be possible through bpay using the likes of sniip .

How did Chase ask you for the W9 form online? Secure Messaging or online letter/statement function? Normally they send it via snail mail so I wonder if this is an improvement.

I was in US and was able to open bank accounts in Chase and BoA. Also took the mint mobile with one year plan for $180 hot $45 cashback from Amex. Back AUS now and I can get OTP with no issues and can enable roaming for a low fee $5 for a day in case you want to make a call using the number.

Has anyone recently been instantly approved for an Amex Card without additional documentation? Just applied for a Business card but it was held up requesting additional documentation (ID + ITIN).

Wondering what needs to adjusted so I can get instantly approved in the future. Seems to be an issue with verifying my ITIN despite credit reports all looking decent.

How soon can I change the address to a relative's US address as I want a bank statement showing a US address when i apply for a US credit card thanks.

Also do you change all the 3 addresses below or just the mailing address.

How soon can I change the address to a relative's US address as I want a bank statement showing a US address when i apply for a US credit card thanks.

Also do you change all the 3 addresses below or just the mailing address.

Can change anytime . Will take approx 3 days to take effect . I believe it’s the mailing address that you need to reflect .

is it just me or are HSBC about 15 years behind most other banks? unable to open a joint account online and must call in.

I honestly can't remember the last time i had to open an account in person or over the phone since joining HSBC.

Anyone use it the same way and any pitfalls with this strategy?

Also how do you declare the tax? Considering HSBC doesn't have my ITIN right now, not sure if I declare it in the US with my ITIN or just directly in my Aust tax return.

Right away - you only need to change the mailing address and then wait 30 days for a statement - make sure there’s some account activity though or they won’t produce a statement

This sounds interesting - i will check it out - I’m holding USD in Amex biz checking currently but that earns next to nothing
