Strategy to obtain US Amex

I have had DHL which is amazing but just had a debit card sent out via international USPS first class and it made it to Australia in about 10 days
Was pretty impressive - that’s was from NY to Australia last week
Bookmarked for future reference

Managed to get Pepper registration done - what US ID have people used? I cannot provide any of the 5 they ask for…..
Could you please share the process. I still could not pay/checked out with "Card Declined" Error even though Amex confirmed my accounts were all Good and should not be a problem.

I never got past the ID verification. So couldn’t buy. Tried adding Australian passport and then they blocked my account!

If I cancel an Amex (after a year obviously) does it still count towards 5/24 until the 2 year mark?

Thought so - i think i messed up my strategy a little then as I’m now 4/24 (HSBC and Amex) - i think I’ll do Chase first (CSP) and then try for a Cap 1 card once my HSBC card hits 24m and drops off

Just a thought - given HSBC did no credit check - will it definitely be on my file and be counting as a x/24? I guess giving them my ITIN recently probably means yes.

It should be on your file. Credit checks are different from reporting to your credit file. Eg Amex does not do credit checks for new cards once you're established with them, but their personal cards appear on your credit file.

How so - if it was done against my AU address though?

As you said, you gave them your ITIN. If that attaches to your card, it'll eventually appear on the credit file associated with that ITIN.
Yep I figured that - so if i had never given it to them, it would likely not appear?

Is there a simple way to see file/score with just ITIN now Amex MyFICO has stopped?
