after clicking view my FICO score on the Amex website, they gave me an "unable to process your request" error.
We all get that message now. It’s a bit of a nuisance as I liked being able to view the FICO score

Heading there in June - where did you book your appointment to get the ID pleaseone day. I thought the confirmation said 21st but said 22nd and they strictly enforced the "no walk ins" policy.
You can link them up so that she can see the US balance on AU app and vice versashould my wife be able to see her US HSBC account on her AU App and website access?
Is there anything we can do to add it in or is it better to download the US app?
Pretty sure Amex don’t show FICO to anyone anymoreGTed my first US Amex in July, I read somewhere after 6 statements were generated, I could see a FICO score, and then I could apply for 2nd Amex card over the phone.
I now have 6 x statements, but still no FICO score, do I have to get a ITIN for my second card?
Thanks,
If you set up Global Transfer you can see both accounts in each countries app - I’d thoroughly recommnend setting up HSBC US online banking/app as well as AU oneshould my wife be able to see her US HSBC account on her AU App and website access?

I didn’t get it unfort so will need to be another time. They open up appointment slots on Fridays for the week ahead and they tend to go very quickly especially for the more popular central locations. If you are a “resident” of NYC can get a non driver ID (guess it’s a little like the ‘proof of age’ card in NSW. You can only get it by:
I was trying to do this as C1 wanted a US government issued ID document (and wouldn’t accept AU passport as government issued document) no matter how politely I asked.
- Being a resident of NYC
- Making an appointment and turning up in person; and
- Producing proof of residency (currently bank statement < 60 days old and AU passport currently suffice)
Are there any DPs for others getting accepted by C1 other than by going down this route?
Chase said they don’t accept these documents but were fine with my AU passport. So YMMV.
Btw this is the site where I made my appointment:
Please report back if it works for you especially if it gets you to ‘yes’ with C1.
It may be a regular call to assist with opening .
Reason for opening will be most important , with supporting proof for same .
also possibly local Malaysian address .
What is the benefit of a Malaysian account ?

Try and link your ITIN to your Amex .
yep trying now, unfortunately my wife was in Thailand when the account was approved and her 6 digit number which would have been sent via SMS has not been received. If you set up Global Transfer you can see both accounts in each countries app - I’d thoroughly recommnend setting up HSBC US online banking/app as well as AU one
I saw my P2 Credit Score for TranUnion with Cap1 Rejection letter. In case it's helpful to anyone else wanting to find out their credit score: if you submit a pre-approval request for the C1 Venture X and are rejected for it, you will receive an electronic letter in your email explaining the rejection along with your current credit score from Experian. The pre-approval process doesn't affect your credit score. Only works if you have an ITIN or SSN.
Good to know - just tried and got :In case it's helpful to anyone else wanting to find out their credit score: if you submit a pre-approval request for the C1 Venture X and are rejected for it, you will receive an electronic letter in your email explaining the rejection along with your current credit score from Experian (edit: looks like may include other reporting agencies as well). The pre-approval process doesn't affect your credit score. Only works if you have an ITIN or SSN.
I’m back in SYD agree, should have gone into a branch like I did for Chase and Citi. I’m regretting not doing just that although I don’t want another decline from C1 knowing that they want US government issued ID thought I might have gotten someone in the beach to advocate for me.Are you still in NYC / USA ?
If so, you can go to a Capital One cafe and ask one of the bank staff members to help you open a checking account and apply for a C1 credit card. I think it would be much easier if done in a branch. There are heaps of Capital One cafes in NYC.
By the way, when you opened the checking accounts with Chase and Citi, did they ask for any utility bills ? I assume you showed them your passport and a bank statement ?
And finally, when you go to your bank appointments, do you tell the tellers that you have an appointment ? Or you just sat down and waited to be called by the banker ?
I went to this site:Heading there in June - where did you book your appointment to get the ID please
That's good to know, thanks.Pretty sure Amex don’t show FICO to anyone anymore
I got my second after 3 months without ITIN. Apply online and make sure you get one of the best sign up bonus links for whatever card you want. It’ll likely refer and you’ll have to contact them and provide some info (like passport). If you get a pop up saying no sign up bonus, find another linkThat's good to know, thanks.
Should I call and apply for my second card without ITIN/SSN? is 6-month credit history enough with Amex?

If you can’t get passed itin- put passport number followed by two zeros. It’ll fail but tell them when you phone that you don’t have your itin yet
