Strategy to obtain US Amex

seeing my FICO Score.
For those who have access to a score, or who have had a card approval/rejection recently, it would be interesting to hear what your scores are, and how long you’ve had a credit history in the US for…

I’ve only had a history for about 6 months, and my score on a recent approval was about 680 as well…

My score was always over 780 since I had my first card 4 years ago. Dropped to 710 - 760 after applying for a few more last year.

I don't use the cards much though. Utilisation usually 0 - 4%. 4% will drop my score to 710s and 0% will push it back up to 760.

My history is about a year or less.

can get them to scan for free and confirm if card - if so you can then choose shipping options - If card that you want middle option feels expensive but at least traceable
If Amex could ask them to ship to Aust too
did you receive an approval email already? It could be a request to call them to verify your name, i had to upload passport and bank statement for P2.

as mentioned, you should have 25 free scans per month so just request this before sending. usually takes a couple of hours for them to scan but i've usually requested this morning Sydney time. not sure of later in the day could delay it.
Thanks @georgie23 and @N0mad, I asked them to first scan it and indeed, it was the card!
If its a card delivery then you would have received some sort of email from Amex saying your card has been shipped? If not, call Amex and check on app status.
If it indeed its the card that has been delivered then ask US Global mail to destroy/discard the package.
Call Amex on the 11th day (not sure if it biz days or calendar days) after card approval, ask them to ship card overseas as you are travelling.
My advice from my meagre experience is the mail forwarding won’t touch your card for fraud / privacy requirements. But they can forward the letter. Now ask yourself how much do you really need to spend? 9$ is sometimes very quick and is ideal if your not bothered by potential delays. I have used FedEx and they quote 4-5 days but it can be longer. DHL - used to be much cheaper. Hope it helps.
Thanks @maverick1 and @COC, as I'm not in a rush, I've asked them to ship to AU with USPS. If it doesn't show up in the next 2 weeks, I'll follow advice from @maverick1 and ask Amex to ship it to AU as I'm "traveling".

Many thanks to everyone who chimed in with helpful advice!

that's awesome, did you need to call or upload any docs prior to approval? Also, no email re approval or card been posted?

I've had terrible luck, had to call, upload docs and now i have a very slight address mismatch with HSBC show APTxx_x and Amex PMBxx_x. will need to call to try and sort out.

I did a three-way call with Amex and Chase, where Chase confirmed that my address on their record was the same as the address I applied with. Amex approved me on the call.
