Found it hard to believe that a member of <10 posts would start rambling about life, ambition, power, opposite sex, intense/brief relationship ... all in one post .... Unless he/she is a troll.

Most sane / rational new members would start out seeking travel related info in some variety - not in this fashion.

Almost all people who can chat on the Off Topic Thread is established members IIRC.

If you were a real person, good luck to you really but your pretensions do not concern me (here, on AFF).

Having taking this into account, it did take me some time to find the Off Topic thread & that was with me lurking for some time before signing up.

So I can see an AFF newbie asking a question in a question thread.

oh, and for the analysis made that as a new poster I should be asking travel related questions? How dare you insult my intelligence. I am pretty sure that my airline status and many years of travel would qualify me to not have to ask newbie questions!

One of the things I really like about AFF is we come in all shapes and sizes and doing the occasional AFF dinners or drinks nights allows you to meet up with many you would never get to know.
You may find out things about places to visit in the world and be able to get there in style for very close to zero expense. And of course it is a game.

My father once told me about a time when he spear gunned a bull shark in the Torrens inlet.

Him and his friends were diving and came across a huge bull shark, so being the true red blooded male he was, he killed it.

The prize (which still hangs in the garage at their house) was the jaw. So after the carcass was sold to the fish shop, he set about scraping the meat from the jaw bone. A friend suggested placing the jaw on an ants nest where once one ant got the taste of the flesh, the others would quickly follow suit and remove the flesh from the jaw.

He did that, and exactly what was predicted happened.

A lot like what has happened in this thread. A comment is passed and because someone does not like what is said, instead of ignoring the comment, they take a bite at the poster. This is followed by a pack mentality usually reserved for wild dogs where they get a taste for the meat / blood and nothing will stop them from then tearing away until their want is fulfilled.

So, there are a few of you commented in the past on my posts in the frequent flyer australia facebook group, that's where you can keep posting them - for the rest of you (content redacted)- see you around the traps

I was rejected by that group so I am a cast off. Don't know why really but it was an auto response.
I just look at AFF and Milepoint and Flyer Talk seeing we live several weeks/months in London and Los Angeles now.
Working on travel for 6 in best available is a challenge.
