Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

@Moderators: Is it possible to tidy up (delete) the messages in this thread that don't list an actual booking please? This is a really useful thread and it could potentially become diluted over time if general discussion of xASAs is not kept to the other thread.

Moderation note:
I have tidied the thread up a little as requested. Interesting to note that some of those liking this post are the ones with posts that needed to be tidied up.

This is an excellent resource shintaro10x. Thanks for starting it when the rest of us were waffling.

I have formatted the data into a Google docs spreadsheet up to this post using the format:

Date | Cabin | Route | Points | Co-pay | credit-card? | Max points | SCs

This is the link

Sept 13/business/ADL-MEL one way/28539 points and no co-pay

or in the format in the post above

Sept 13 / Business / ADL-MEL one way / 16000 / $109 / 28539 / 40

extra notes and apologies for the waffle:
Date refers to both booking and flying month
It took less than 5 minutes. I asked for an Any Seat Award in U, or Uniform class. There was NO mention of the "m" things or "classic award rates"

Initial points only fee was 32039 before the CSO took one second to spontaneously realise that she didn't need to include the booking fee
This flight will get Mrs N to WP for the first time. She says "there's no one I can tell".....so I'm telling you lot :)
A couple of years ago we both struggled to keep silver :)

Edit to correct what I asked for. Thanks to a very nice person for pointing that out

Thanks Lorraine. This was my first booking experience, I followed the sticky notes and bar a couple of minutes when the computer spat its dummy the process all was over in 11 minutes. Lorraine instantly knew what I was referring to and when prompted confirmed U class fares which earn points and SC's! :)

Jun 14 / Business / SYD-NRT One Way x 2 / 144,000 / $759.08 + $60.00cc / 218,682 / 140 x 2

Thanks Michelle. Second booking of the day and all over in 15 minutes this time. Took a little bit more explaining this time but we got there after a couple of minutes. Michelle also asked how I would prefer to pay my booking assistance fee but after explaining it was not possible to do this booking online she agreed to waive the fee. Whilst it is most certainly a pain having to go through this process it was easy enough having checked for Classic Award availability prior. Very surprised that Saturday night flights were available too.

This is the first-part of our 5 week 2014 Trans-Siberian and Europe adventure. Just got to find some LHR-SYD flights for July 14 now. Will save that quest for another day. :)

What is the '80 x 2'? I hope it is not a booking/telephone assistance fee. If so, you should call back and have that reversed quoting Right on Q 7740 if necessary.
