No, AFAIK they're only available with US based credit cards.

That's what I thought – was just curious where yours came from but it sounds like it just appeared in your account for no reason?

Also, 5 suite upgrades? You're lucky! :D

It's all so strange.

No luck, I just know how to exploit the system to get a lot more than the annual 4 DSUs

The 5 DSUs that you see in my post grossly understate the 10+ I actually used.

My diamond status is due to expire the 29th Feb 2016, sadly. I have redeemed all of my suite upgrades also. Two are for two upcoming reservations in April 2016. Under my awards it states....
Your Suite Upgrade Awards are available to use on paid room nights at any participating Hyatt hotel or resort worldwide between now and February 29, 2016. You may redeem your award by calling 800.400.2261 or your nearest Worldwide Reservation Center.

My expiration date though has been moved to 13th April 2016. Which is the last date of my upcoming suite reservation. I am wondering if there has been a change to their suite policy i.e. they need to be booked and used whilst your status is Diamond. Not for future booking like the ones I have made.

edited. Quick google confirms a change of policy. Sorry if Im already talking about something that has been already pointed out on here.

You have me intrigued...

Hmm. I never thought of it like that before. A friend of mine who is SPG Platinum once booked a room under his account but with my name as second person on the booking, so I could enjoy the Platinum benefits. I was able to check-in fine and pay for everything on my card, no questions asked.

I have been told this was strictly against the rules. I wanted to have my wife arrive the day before me but they said I had to make another booking and it wouldn't get credited against my nights or get points. Another time they wouldn't let my wife check in while I was parking the car. Said it had to be me or no benefits/credit/points etc.

Have I been given a bum steer?

It is strictly against the rules. If Gold Member is actually able to have 10 DSUs and allows other people to use his membership he better Hyatt can't identify him off this forum.

He will end up like Lucky from OMAAT with UA. i.e. banned for life.

The entry suite is not always the suite you will get with your Diamond upgrades. Flyer talk have a great thread on the topic. I
Stayed at the Andaz NYC. Here you get the fabulous splash suite. :-)
