Had a +65 phone call from SQ where after 2 identifying questions I get told that there is an aircraft change and there will be no First Class available on the switched plane. I then get told that they will be in Suites on the A380!
That was a very sweet call for my sister in law and my niece.
Wow that was a very good use of my Kris Flyer points and thank you Singapore Airlines.

Yet to receive a call that good:!: Happy days.

very nice call.
I must say the call from the Qantas First Host is always pretty special

Yes moa999 Mrscove is still very much a Qantas first pick lady. She loves going to the Melbourne or Sydney First lounge and getting a spa treatment prior to her flight so that phone call is a real winner too.
Being advised that her upgrade request from J to First using points on QF is right up there.
I always try to get her a First Seat on Qantas if we are heading for Marina del Rey as it sets her into relax mode when she is leaving her parents and children behind.

That is excellent customer service...hope they do it for everyone.

Many years ago, there was a group of 4 of us from work having a "longer" lunch before heading to the airport for a 4:30p Mel-BNE flight. One of the group's phone rang with an "unknown" number. He chose not to answer it. About 1 minute later, my phone rang with "unknown" number and I answered. It was QF saying there was an overbooked flight.
They asked if would I mind going on the next flight (about a 90 min delay) and being bumped to a J seat. I said I don't mind and ordered another wine!
The face of the guy who just realised he missed an upgrade was price-less! We still talk about it to this day.

We need to hear more stories of people getting bumped in the SQ suites though!

Cheers.

Can't think of any bad phone calls from any airline... they are all varying shades of awesome.

Massive win cove!

Massive win cove!

The one I received from BA "we're sorry but we've overbooked F" wasn't a call that I would call awesome.

What a great call to receive :) guessing your sister in law an niece have big smiles ..

Shhh we don't tell our niece things like this.
This is last years Christmas present which is air fares and London accommodation with her mum.
My niece has been working during her school holidays to have money for special girlie purchases seeing she is a teenager.
My sister in law is all smiles.
