Sydney lounge not fully open until March 2013

I don't think it's unreasonable they close upstairs on the weekend if the numbers are lower when they are finished the renovations. But right now there is clearly a lack of space downstairs -- it's not overflow it's about half or more of the usable space.

The longe had upstairs closed this morning around 10am and was quite crowded- it got worse when the Fremantle Dockers arrived.

Back this evening and upstairs is still closed.

Most areas jam packed, but I found an oasis near the premium security entrance - 30 chair and there's six occupied while the rest of the lounge is really crowded.

Upstairs only seems to be open on Weekends, which makes no sense to me as the lounge is now overcrowded on Sundays!

Just as another data point, I was there last on Sat the 11th May and Sun the 12th May around 11am-1pm and the upstairs area was closed.

I'm confused...
Everyone is saying Upstairs is closed on the w/ends, and then LiamR says upstairs only is open ?

You see, because what he said was a mistype, I'm sure he meant Weekdays

The last time I was there it was on weekdays (Mondays between 12-1), and upstairs was open both times... To be honest I was horribly disappointed with the while thing. I was thinking it was a flagship lounge, as others have pointed out, so I was expecting something to blow my socks off, but in the end all it felt like was a game of laser tag because of all the corridors. Upstairs was even worse, because all it seemed like was that it was a big room with cheap furniture. I know things need to be blocked off for reconstruction, but isn't it already 2 months behind schedule? Survey someone's backside must be being kicked about that now?

What do you expect when it not even fully finished yet?

Typo - that was supposed to be 'wasn't expecting anything to blow my socks off'

i guess I was expecting a smaller area under construction. I have a lot of experience in the construction industry, and on top shelf, high profile clients, my experience has been very different to this...
