Have used the kerbside valet at Sydney a few times recently.

Tonight I went to pick up my car - keys could not be found. Attendant goes into the parking area and leans in.

Turns out my car has had the window down with keys on the seat for around 12 hours.

Not impressed! It's not a secure area and for $78 I expect to have my (relatively new) car secured and the keys kept in the cabinet.

That's a bit disappointing, I hope they have security inside the collecting bays. I love the VA Premium Valet and they do a great (and cheap) car wash.

No physical security there. When I collected it (around 4.30) there was one attendant only - who was behind the counter.

It was parked in a bay that required exit through the boom gate but if you are in some parks by the entrance you bypass the boom gate.

I went to pick up my car last week after an overnight trip and was handed the keys to a Range Rover. I don't own a Range Rover :)

Did you want a Range Rover.

A hotel misplaced my car keys but was found in the centre console.

My car has keyless start.

They where worried and at one tage they asked how much was it going to cot to get another key.

I told them app $800 and they then said do you have a spare.

My comment was yes but not for you guys to loose at that cost that is my job.

I made the mistake of looking at the keys and asking what colour it was. Should have just gone out there and pressed some buttons.

So no, I'm still not driving a Range Rover ;)
