Have to admit to not knowing what this is - a baked open meat sandwich? What was it like?

Open sandwich of turkey, toast, tomatoe, bacon, cheese and mornay sauce. Created at the Brown Hotel in the twenties.
Rich, heavy, quite tasty. Hidden beneath the cheese and sauce 4 huge slabs of turkey breast, couldn't quite get through it all.

Factory tour and museum. Museum part was good, factory tour was a bit meh, it is a factory after all I guess. Whiled away an hour or so.

Found myself at 4th Street Live, only a short walk from my accommodation.





Grabbed a philli cheese steak form a sports bar, or their take on one.
Sometimes you see and/or hear things that seem extremely out of place. For me it was Big Pig's 'Breakaway' playing over the sound system in the bar. Obscure Australian percussion band son playing in a Louisville sports bar. Hadn't heard that song since I was rocking a mullett and wasn't embarrassed taking my short off.



Watched the elimination Cubs/Brewers game for a while, then off to bed

Was hoping you'd do a tour of Wild Turkey. Their 101 is my favourite bourbon. Nice to see the pics though. Will just have to do the tour myself one day!

Continued on, spotted a sign to Kentucky State University Stadium, so turned off to have a look

And I was in the capitol of Frankfort

No tour, purchased some bourbon balls, lady was a bit taken aback when she asked me if i liked the tour and I told her I didn't do one

Today has been planned as a drive to Cincinatti, but to be honest spending 6 hours or so in the car didn't really fill me with enthusiasm. There was still a couple of things I wanted to do in Louisville, so staying in the city it was.
There are pictures of local heroes on the sides of some of the buildings. My apartment has the colonel

Louisville isn't exactly a bustling city. This is during peak hour.







Louisville is the location of the UPS Worldport, continuous plane action all day

'People's Choice' robe given to him by Elvis prior to his fight against 'Aussie Joe' Bugner when he was still 'Pommy Joe'. Or 'Hungarian Joe'. Ali didn't wear it that night, he did his next fight, which he lost, and never wore it again

That was that for the 4th floor.
Down to the 3rd floor which had a bit about the Olympics in 96 and a heap of stations where you could watch his fights
