Was there any mention in the T&C's of time for points to post?

Within 28 days of validation/verification that the test drove occurred. The problem is no one seems to have received the phone call which was supposed to be made by Hyundai for the purpose of this validation/verification.

I have an email from the salesperson who I took the test drove with advising that his manager was following up but that’s as close as I got to the supposed phone call. Email was 13 September so not going to push just yet.

I just checked my velocity account and the 5,000 points were posted on the 2nd of October. As a point of reference I never received a call from hyundai following the test drive. I did call the aforementioned 1800 number approximately a week ago to enquire about the the missing points and missing follow up call. I was told that someone would contact me with more information but alas that never eventuated and the points have now posted sans follow up call.

When was your test drive?

Mine are there now as well. Says Activity date 2nd October. Process date 4th October.

My points have also now arrived. 2 Oct processed 4 Oct.

This is interesting. I have just noticed my points have also not been posted.

I did my test drive at the start of September. Should I call Velocity to chase this up?

Have a read of the posts, you'll see the different methods people have used to chase this up and the success level that has been achieved.

similar to others my 5000 points posted on the 4th......after a phone call, web enquiry, follow up call and email from Hyundai promising the points will come at some point....

Indeed. I will call on Monday. Also need to chase up 20k points as part of a car insurance switch.

These amounts are not insignificant.

So I participated in this promotion, as I am genuinely interested in getting the Santa Fe.

Here is my experience:

  1. Completed the web form, got a call back a few days later and organised a test drive.
  2. Phone call from the salesman wanting to change the time to later in the day. Told him I had a flight to catch not long after so it would only be a very short drive.
  3. Took the test drive on the 10th of September - drove around the block for 15minutes only, thanked him and then went to the Airport.
  4. Forgot all about the promotion
  5. 5000 points deposited into my account on the 27th of September
  6. Then another 5000 points deposited in my account on the 2nd of October
Haven't purchased the car, not had any furhter contact with Hyundai after the drive.

Looks like I'm quite lucky as I've had the points deposit twice, and without a phone call/email/complaint to them

What is the 1800 number - is it Huyandai’s customer service team?

you could look at the email Hyundai sent you, or earlier posts in this thread....for convenience I checked back in the thread for you........
1800 186 306 as per Hyundai email....

my points posted the other day without me having to take any action after the "test drive"

Having completed my test drive on 31 August I am yet to receive any points or follow up, guess I will have to start chasing them! The service in this case is about as insipid as the test drive.

I called them, emailed them, even Facebook messaged them - all avenues promised I'll get a call back and be credited my points "as soon as possible". We'll wait and see.

Still nothing for me. I'm following up tomorrow and upping the ante.
