Targeted Velocity Double SCs or Points Offer [July 2024]

Won’t bother. I will have Platinum late this year and will fly enough to get it again before renewal date. Double points are not worth it given the decline in points value.

Well they have the right target with me. definitely considering switching our domestic flights to VA. Plus I have the SCs to be silver already but have only 1 VA flight. I am considering the double SCs depending on whether I could get to Plat. As Mrsdrron pools to me that is an effective triple SCs for any flight we do.
Also considering their bonus points offer.

Looks like every Australian and their dog will have status with VA soon. It is almost too easy to obtain with family pooling, constant promotions, status matches and lower qualifications levels and more status credits earned on flights. A no brainer for a moderate level flyer to get perks however which would be otherwise out of reach with QF. I just fear priority boarding and lounges etc will start to suffer soon.

It’s already happened. The average 4pm weekday flight out of Sydney has. Priority queues are challenging the general boarding queue. And the Sydney lounge before boarding is close to standing room only.

Great minds etc….

Glad this came. Useful for next year's requalifying of WP. My only question is how one can book flights to Jun 27, 2025, when the offer is to book by Jul 18 and the VA website will only allow you to book up til Jun 13 if you book by that deadline!

Does anyone know how long it takes for the DSCs to be credited? I was planning on taking a flight on 15th September (Choice, 50 SCs) hoping that I will receive 100 SCs allowing me to maintain Gold status which I received as part of the Discover program...the only thing is that my review date is 17th September. Do you think that they will be credited into my account before then? Do you think I have a case to say that I am technically eligible? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated! Thank you!

All I can say is that the r triple status credits I earned a couple of days ago were credited on the day.

I would say I infrequently fly VA compared to QF, but with the family pooling and lower requirements I'll reach Gold with VA next month without really trying.

WP and received the double points or double SC offer yesterday, so guessing it's a broad-based "fill up the forward bookings" by Bain. Will most likely cancel and rebook my AFL GF BNE-MEL & vv flights if the pricing hasn't changed.

Flights with VA back to Brisbane on the Sunday are actually much cheaper as of yesterday - cancelled 2x J fares for 2x Y Choice for $120

I didn't get the email. However, an offical virgin add came up in my Facebook feed displaying the offer. I clicked the link, logged into my account and was able to select the offer. If you go to the velocity Facebook page, you can sign up from the offer from there.
