What are people's interpretations of the offer wording?

Do you think it is only on your next eligible flight, not on all flights you book prior to July 18 and travel during the relevant period? It would explain why the offer is so generous.

Edit... I just read the rest of the email - there is no limit on the amount of times this offer can be redeemed. Phew, re-qualification for platinum guaranteed.

Might you be able to share a link if that works, please, @SYD? It haven't been fed this ad, the standard Facebook page for VFF doesn't list it, and my invite email was only double points but I would much prefer the double SCs.

My partner sent me his link and when I logged in it told me I was ineligible. So not sure if specific links will work?

Yeah, I got similar from the link at OzBargain. It just sounded like earlier in the chat people may have found more legit "public" links in the last couple of days.

I think VA has offered to all frankly. My other half and I have been offered status credits or miles. The other half is on the lowest tier and we pool. She was offered at the same time as me as Platinum of either credits or points. She took the points and I the status credits.

I don't have any status with Virgin but was offered double points or a lounge pass. I can't see that anyone else on this thread has been offered a lounge pass as an option so far.
I have to fly to ADL soon so going to book Virgin for the return. I've never been but from what I hear, their lounge will be a bit nicer than whatever is going on with the QC at the moment.

Yes both links come up, request Velocity number and password, wait then scroll to bottom and message appears.

Bit of an own goal here by Velocity - when they don't publish the criteria and almost everyone seems to be getting it but a small few, it really feels like an FU to what are loyal and engaged customers.

Any status matches going anywhere?

The thing with 'Sponsored' links/ads on Facebook is that they could be targetted. You need to have a look at Why Am I seeing this Ad. It can say something along the lines of being on a list that was uploaded by the sponsor.

Yeah, I was pondering that myself and whether some cookies are involved.

I was going to clear cookies and stuff to see if it still comes up.

Although, I did read elsewhere that someone also found the FB ad and was able to register but their partner couldn’t. Neither received the email.

Adelaide based and yes, the Virgin lounge is one of the nicer ones. Always able to find a seat even at busy times (from my experience anyway). Enjoy it very much!

Will get to Gold with this double status credit offer. ADL-MEL-CBR in Business for approx $438 which will net 220 credits and take me to Gold for the first time. Comes in handy for a trip to the US at the end of August/start of September with VA/UA.

EVERYONE was eligible for the very recent TREBLE SC deal correct?

Reading this thread, I clicked on the DOUBLE SC deal. Never had an email, and had I not seen this thread would know nothing about it existing. Have 1900 SC already this year and do not really need more but might gift a Plat to one of the kids etc if I get a few 100 more SC.

Went to do it for my partner who is now lower status. "Declined - not eligible'.

What kind of chimp operation is running this?

Unlike handing out points, SC are free to Velocity, and folks getting them, involves them spending MONEY! Often on totally impulse flights, as our extra flights would certainly have been.

Not sure I have the energy to fire off an email to Plat line to see if she can be added. They do some very dumb things in there.

Here is their hopeless inconsistency summed up. Certainly not offered to all, as clearly it should have been if they are seeking bonus bookings in these winter months.
