Red Roo, can you clarify what tech-savvy means, on the spectrum from "someone who is familiar with using a range of technology" to "someone who works in an IT department and can code programs"?

I'd be interested to know when they fix the bug which results in a J award search for SYD-MEL-LHR coming up with the error message "Your Flight from MEL to LHR will be in Economy".

Sorry but I did say I was new to this site, since I have received two replies to my original post to send a PM to red roo regarding the IT support page next week. One admin sent me a response and I am still unable to reply to his or her post as an admin because it states it is unable to support this request. Do I still need to make 15 post before this can be done thanks

This thread wouldn't be too bad if I could get in touch with Red Roo, without first having had to send 15 messages after joining before I can PM her I might just get there in the first instance with a reply to this post in order to submit a response before the closing date and time in this instance

If necessary you can PM a moderator/support (not sure if I am included) to not worry about the PM limitation and they can forward it on... I think.
 
Thank-you - Qantas already has. I booked a cheap flight to Sydney on Tuesday night, intending to overnight at the airport hotel to fly to Johannesburg on Wednesday morning. Then around 1am this morning I was trying to book overnight accommodation for Tuesday - Sydney is literally fully booked both at the airport and in the city. I phoned Qantas and they changed my flight to 6am on Wednesday morning in about 2 seconds with no fuss or charge. These are the reasons we fly Qantas....

Well I don't know how you received my PM when this site told me I could not contact you until I had not made at least 15 posts. I thought we were meant to make submissions on the idea of attendance, however I may be only available on TUE 4th March if that is open.

As has been mentioned a few times, a moderator or admin have probably forwarded your PM.

Just for clarity, that should probably be AEDT (Daylight time... the S in AEST = Standard, not Summer). :D

No, AEST = Australian Eastern SYDNEY Time

You should realise that for Qantas the universe stops at the Sydney city limits!

Perhaps the first item on the 'tech' agenda should be web/video conferencing, so next time people beyond the Sydney city limits can participate without donating a day of their time to the airline.
 
Sadly I will be in LA for a conference during this timeframe, a shame, I hope this can be done again in the future perhaps in other capital cities :)
 
I would love it if they could improve
i) The little "i" with the "your flight from SYD-DUBAI will be in economy" when searching for BNE - DUBAI in Business class.

ii) It would be great if when searching for classic rewards, and didn't find any on a particular day, you could click to move to the day before or after, without starting again. i.e. if nothing suitable on Wed, a single click to move forwards to Thursday

iii) When searching for flights, why do you have to choose the class, why can't just show them all.

iv) The iPhone app is great. I would love to be able to see my "activity" on there, but at present I can only see that by loading the full website

The website does some pretty stupid and annoying stuff , a lot has already been mentioned

things like - being able to book premium economy on the flight out of Perth to LA (via Sydney - Per to Syd is econ) but premium economy is not an option to book on the return leg LA to Syd? (then to perth would be econ) why?
